Everyone is flipping out on the 3rd round, but watching interviews and highlights of those players. I am aboard with the picks.

Golston, Odighizuwa, and Wright make plays. We had trouble stopping the run,not just up the middle but plays to the outside the box. Golston & Odighizuwa constantly in the opponent's backfield making tackles. Great pursuit players holding up RBs & QBs

Wright is a 6-4 chess piece. He can cover TEs and big WRs We didn't have a very tall corner on the active roster who could do this. He has enough speed at 4.48. Smart Football IQ to make plays. Former WR with soft hands.

So when everyone stops having their Karen moments and come back to Earth. Enjoy Day 3 of the draft guys

The problem isn't Karen's, the problem has been 25 years of resembling the Lions / Jaguars. History is proving that this franchise really doesn't know how to run a team that can produce ON THE FIELD. Sure, it is successful financially but not in the wins/loss category. Until that is solved, which has been in a long drought, the criticism will continue. Longterm Dallas fans have been fooled for far too long.

Parsons and Joseph can help this defense immediately. The rest seem odd to me when all the other talent on the board

I tend to agree with this thread Title. We should be encouraged that we have focused on D and gotten better. Now saying that, day 3 today will be super imperative to getting over the hump. We gotta draft us some blue collar dawgs that just show up and work.Oline and safety, linebacker need to be the focus today.

Given the fact this was the worst defense in cowboy history, avoiding improvement would be quite the trick.

I am a Cowboy fan and have been going back to the age of 5. I love it when they win and don't like it when they lose. I think the guys that win the draft, win by getting value. Yesterday, they used 3 third round picks to select 3 players they could have drafted later. That is not only not value, that is dumb. Watching the reaction by the experts tells you all you need to know. Terrible grades everywhere and most had to look these guys up to comment.

I admittedly, am a draft nerd. I watched tons of video and did plenty of simulators. TimB, you had to watch videos and interviews to talk yourself into it and you spent as much or more time than me on predraft analysis.

The Cowboys looked like fools in round 3 and most experts agree.

So many people just don't grasp the concept of maximizing draft value........lord knows the Jones boys haven't figured it out yet. Everyone is so focused on the first round pick and celebrating that guy few bother looking at the rest of the draft. Thats how our roster is built. Top heavy with 75% the cap money flowing into a few contracts. But as long as they guys sell a bunch of uniforms , nobody cares.

I’m mixed. I loved the first two picks. I’m OK with the DT from UCLA based on what I’ve read and heard about him though I personally know nothing about him. Similarly, I know nothing about the DE from Iowa and the DB from Oregon St. I’m willing to give them all a chance, but that last pick was a big reach and head scratcher.

Edit: I generally want to stay away from guys from west coast schools since they’re more often than not soft.
Its been said the Iowa kid was rated as the 4th best at the SR bowl this year...but don't know who all was there

We lost the chances to rebuild the def.

Picks 1 and 2 looked good to me, but thirth round was pathethic, the FO dont know how to find good prospects in the middle and later .
Only Golston, but the other two Kids, practice squade , no more this year .
The same mistakes, overtated, we have the ego fights . Big frustation.
enjoy, Big hopes

LOL.......Day 3 would be a complete F if it were not for the Cox pick. Wright is the dumbest pick in the history with the talent that was on the board with need. 3rd round was a complete disaster. If you like guys rotation JAGs and guys that will never play for us then you are in luck.

Highlights are called "highlights" for a reason - I'll bet they were all good plays.

I'm fine with the Friday picks, overall. I only question how soon Wright was taken. The focus has been defense - amen to that.

I would add. The focus has not just been defense, but front 7. Where defense counts the most.

Stop being a homer. This organization is a country club not a professional football team. We’ll never win anything with JJ large and in charge. Gotta a better chance of winning the lottery than this team winning another super bowl.
