I am not a bandwagon rider

Where the BP years that bad? I know there was some letdown but no way they should be grouped with the Campo years.

I haven't noticed any new bandwagoners at work or when I go out.

Now when the Mavericks were making their ultimately unsuccessful title run a few years ago, they were everywhere.

I've seen a few Cowboys fans come out of the woods. Especially some that were doubting Romo when he was struggling earlier.

I use to ask the "so called Mavs fans" back in 96 who Dick Motta was and of course, no answer.

Yeah, it was pretty bad with Mavericks fans.

Didn't even know about the "Three J's" Era.

So, is the bandwagon back? We haven't had one in 12+ years.

Heartbreak? With respect to you (AND much more respect to the old guys who have followed this franchise from jump), let me tell you a little bit about heartbreak.

Heartbreak is...

Watching your team reach the NFC championship game. Get beat by the Eagles. Watch your team go to the NFC championship game the next year. Get beat by the 49ers. Watch your team go to the NFC championship game a third straight year and get beat by ( :puke: ) the Commanders.

Heartbreak is...

Watching your team humbled in every respect of the game of football 44-0.

Heartbreak is...

Watching your legendary quarterback (that's l-e-g-e-n-d-a-r-y, CrazyCowboy) lose his final game in the divisional round of the playoffs against a team that was already label toast before they ever set foot inside the Super Bowl.

Heartbreak is...

Watching your team slip from 7-9, then 7-8 (IN A STRIKE YEAR FOR $&#%@ SAKE!), 3-13 to 1-15.

Heartbreak is...

Watching your legendary head coach get thrown out with the bath water.

Heartbreak is...

Watching 20 straight winning seasons hit a dead end.

Heartbreak is...

Watching SIX players, who played for your archrival's team in the 70's, inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame between 1979 and 1993--and watching while only TWO players (of arguably the best team of the same decade) inducted during the same stretch of time.

And why do I mention '79 - '93? Well, heartbreak is...

Watching and waiting for your team to return to the Super Bowl after 14 years.

That, my friend, is 'heartbreak'. :(

DE, my friend... I was right there beside you. Watching, bleeding, praying. That is heartache.

And again, as then, we are going to get past it. :starspin
