I do not normally like to complain about officiating...but Seattle was throwing the ball up hoping and praying the whole game...and the officials came to their rescue OFTEN. How many of their scoring drives were assisted on 3rd down by a penalty. And I mean ticky tack stuff

I was compelled to say something after watching the other playoff games today....where teams were absolutley allowed to play unless it was obvious. I mean balls were sailing over the heads of the WRs for the Seahawks and the flags were flying. Again, not making excuses...but their scoring drives were assisted with BS

my only complaint with the refs was that the Seattle OL was not called even once for holding......even when they put an arm inside James, neck hold and pulled him down by his shoulder pads.....I thought I was watching steer wrestling instead of football.

It was a poorly officiated game. It is what it is however. We weren't going anywhere anyway..............

Carry on.

OK, I thought I was the only one that saw a few holding penalties not called.

How many holdings have been called on the offense when we were playing defense of late? I can't remember too many. Thats either a sign of our lack of pressure or the reason for it.

The Refs had to pay the Seahawks back for throwing the superbowl to Pittsburgh :)

In the Philly game....

Philly punts, a philly player hits the ball to keep it from going into the endzone after the punt. A Giants player touches the ball trying to pick it up and Philly recovers the ball.

The ref signals it to be PHILLY'S BALL!

No wonder they suck... they don't even know the dang rules.

I saw that....and I am thinking to myself "Did the refs get a memo from the league office that stated the home team must win at all costs"....I mean that is not even a judgement call...those are the rules!!!!!!!!

Even Jerry was complaining when he couldn't understand how Witten's first down completion inside Seattle's 10 yard line was overturned.

The refs are becoming more and more suspect and eerily similar to being like the NBA refs who obviously try to dictate a game. It became more and more apparent in last year's SB.

Sarge.... if we would have scored a 7 where we scored a 3 and made that last FG... we were most certainly going to the next round.... I feel ya frustration though....

That's the point right there. Of course the refs were doing everything in their power to help the Eahawks win. It was blatantly obvious and they defenitely assisted tow of their drives that led to 10 seabird points vs. them punting back to us. (one was a drive that led to a FG early; the other was TD drive in the second half). We needed to play well enough to beat the refs and did not.

If the refs or should I say the NFL has it their way NO will win the SB!!

Unless the replay booth gets a different angle then we saw, I don't see how they could have conclusively (sp?) spotted the ball.

The lack of holding calls bugged me also, but I don't recall getting a whole lot of holding calls all year long.

Bp should have reviewed Wittens early fumble too. He did not have control of the ball at any time. I believe Seattle got a FG out of that one.

I also agree with the ticky tack calls on our secondary, but again I blame BP for not even going after Seattle's secondary on a consistant basis. We can't get those type of calls if we dont throw down field.

exactly :hammer:

There were really only 3 missed calls that bothered me in that game.

First was on a Newman punt return. He was down and someone came in late and speared him when he was on the ground. No call.

Second, Romo was speared after he threw the TD to Crayton. The guy clearly put the crown of his helmet into Romo's chest.

Third was the no call on Peterson for putting Julius to the ground. Peterson made a good play on defense and the whistles blew. A couple of other Seahwawks' players stopped driving Julius back after hearing the whistle, but Julian kept driving Jones back and pushed him to the ground well after the whistle. Easy call, but the refs did nothing.

Everything else seemed fine. I saw Dallas hold a few times and it wasn't called, so those usually work out. Colombo was just so far out of position on his holds, they had to be called.

Does anyone know how to contact that freak Head offical (Referee). Not that it would do any good, but sometimes you just have to air your gripes.
