I am ok with Sam Howell

So Sam Howell didn't get rattled in the pocket? That's literally what he's known for is bailing the pocket and running like a chicken with hos head cut off.

And I'm not in a Milton fanclub. I just know he's better than Sam Henike
Dude just deal with it. At this time its a lose lose situation for you. Milton is gone, even if he comes back to the PS he would still be 3rd, and Sam isnt giving up that 2nd spot unless he gets injured.

Sam Howell was a pick throwing machine. Do you care about that or no?
He was on a really bad Washington team under a lame duck coach in Rivera. Do you remember Aikman's first year as a starter on a really bad team? What was his record? 0-11. Nine TD's to 18 ints.

I am not saying that Howell is another Aikman. I am simply saying that QBs are judged often by how good or bad their teams are.

Sam better act like he knows how to throw a football, he has to be on the level of cooper Rush to win us some games, with more mobility lol

First mistake he makes, fans will cry Milton to come back

I’m fine with Howell as a backup.

It just doesn’t make much sense that they traded picks for Milton to develop. He shows development and improvement and then they cut him anyway.

It just doesn’t make a lot of sense.

But Howell being the #2 makes sense. I agree with that.
Yeah I could understand Howell getting the backup spot, but figured Milton would be kept on as qb3.

He had to run in Washington. There was no choice. The line there got him destroyed.

He led the league in 2023
He was behind a line that got him sacked almost 70 times and pressured incessantly. Over half of Howell's picks came because he had no time to throw or was hit as he threw. Not because of poor decisions.

Criticisms carry more weight when research is done to see the "hows and whys". Anybody can look at a stat sheet and make presumptions.

It's Milton's inconsistency. You don't know who you're going to get from one moment to the next. Big plays are hard to come by, can't have a quarterback missing wide open receivers. Sam offers you the consistency you need to install a game plan.
I was a bit surprised because his running could be a real threat, but I don't really care that much. Lol.

Ok so from what I am hearing, joe may have been told he was going to be QB 3, he didn't want that and probably asked to go explore better options to backup or start.

Im hearing dallas wanted to keep 3. Remember, Milton had the same problem in NE. If he keeps this up if true, he will talk himself right out of the league.

Sometimes its good to know your place and just enjoy the ride.

If true Milton has an inflated opinion of where he's at as a player. Staying in Dallas and continuing to develop would be the best thing for him instead of fretting over whether he's 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart.

And yes it did happen in NE. He was mad that Drake Maye being there gave him no chance to start and then they signed a veteran backup. He basically was allowed to find a team willing to trade for him and the Cowboys agreed.

He was running in preseason too. At what point is he just a spazz and excuses not get made for his mediocre talent?
He scrambled four times in three games this preseason when no receiver was open. Quarterbacks do run and create plays on the run. Been that way in the NFL for decades now. The Drew Bledsoe statue-in-the-pocket passer is a dead breed.

I liked both Howell and Milton.
Surprised we didn't keep both, honestly
