I am only going to say this once.

Folks, first stop jumping off the bridge. I know that is hard around here after a loss.

This year is far from over. We are not a bad football team. We are just not an elite team at this point. Honestly at this point we could be 4-0, 3-1, 1-3, or 2-2. We happen to be 2-2. We are learning a lot about this team, and we have a lot of players playing very well. I like what I am seeing from a lot of them.

The future looks good for this team, but we are going to lose some ball games at this point.

We have one problem though! This is the main problem.

We just are not running the football very well! Folks this is our problem right now. This has a trickle down effect to everything we do.

It has a trickle down effect on the Passing game, and yes how aggresive we can get. Play action is not a threat right now, and we are getting into way to many obvious passing situations with too much yardage.

This is allowing teams to dictate to us what we do, instead of us dictating what we want to do.

It is effecting field position, it is not allowing us to man handle time of possesion.

We are a one dimensional team right now.

This is not a key to success for this team, and our coaching philosophy.

We have to run the ball much better. I am a huge Julius fan, and love the guy, but someting is wrong with him right now. He is not seeing the holes and cut back lanes. There have been some there, but he just is not seeing them.

Juluis has to become the back he was last year for this team to controll ball games.

Folks, if we can not run it better we will be in these types of games all year. We can not control games without the running game.

If we can be a threat running it, and getting production, we can control games, and win games.

It really is that simple at this point.

Today we lost the game because we lost the battle at the LOS on both sides of the ball.

They ran it, we did not!

It starts with the line, and they are just not good at run blocking, second I am getting sick of watching BP rotating back after back after back in. I mean how do you get in the flow of things?

Sometimes you need to throw the ball the open up the running lanes...this will become the case.

The problem really is i'm starting to really believe Bledsoe can put up some points on the baord and we will not allow him to do it. He was very effective going deep in every game, but yet we do not allow him to very often, or unless we are down by 10-12 points....run is predictable...and behind in the game...throwing is predictable......

i dont think anyone really means to be jumping off the bridge, i know im not. if someone told me we'd be 2 and 2 right now havin played 3 road games id be ok with that. i remember reading an article at the beginning of the year saying if we started 2 and 3 we'd be in the playoffs for sure. although i doubt that article anticipated the Commanders and giants hot starts. anyways, its just tough to lose in this fashion. where we had a perfect chance to win and couldnt execute.

Our playcalling is atrocious and if it continues we'll be lucky to go 6-10. All that talent being wasted by idiot coaching, it's a damn shame really.

I feel sorry for Patrick Crayton. He makes another huge clutch catch only so our coaches can squander the game away.

Great post.

Unfortunately, it will probably be merged into another thread because you mentioned "Julius Jones" and "agggressive passing game". Someone has too much time on their hands.

Anyway, I agree with what you said. I really expect us to get better, but I do worry about our running game. Teams who might have gamplanned for our rushing attack, are going to start gameplanning to stop Bledsoe instead.

I agree, But we are just way tp conservative on our first series of every game. And then when they want to be aggresive they get cute and do some trick play like the key pass. *** was that? I dunno maybe its me. I miss the days where we would go 3 wide and just run slants deep outs and just excute the play!

Yeah, I miss that. Our line played terrible today. Jason Witten was really good.

I agree, the run blocking has not been that good, and it needs to get better. No question.

Still when there are cut back lanes, Julius is not hitting them. He is just running straight ahead into brick walls.

I wish we did not have to rotate them in, but honestly Julius is taking a severe beating. We have to get him some breathers or he will not last to much longer.

If we start running the football you will be surprised on how much better the play calling looks. It allows us to dictate, and do what we want.

Without it we are one dimensional and being dictated to.

hey Jason witten is a beast! and he is almost forgotten.. I just want to see excution! is that so hard? See the rythm that Norv gets in? itss been like that all year for them. The defense of the raiders just implodes in the 4th. We need an O-cord that has a feel for the game.

I'm tired of this team.
the cowboys are the kings of allowing other teams to convert on 3rd and 4th and long, can't stop the run on crucial times and for the love of God,didn't everybody in the western hemisphere knew they were going to run on 2nd and 2???!!!
Predictable...big timne.
And what about going to Terry Glenn on 4th down?

we suck...there is no other way to see it.
ABANDON ALL HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!

Champ I agree. JJ needs a break, But I think they are picking the wrong times to give him that break. Then after he has had his break, they put a different back in! Man I mean come on. work your horse! It worked for us before!

I disagree!
We are a bad team and here's why:
1) Good teams win games against crummy teams on a generally consistent basis. We lose to crummy teams or come very close to losing to crummy teams. Oakland was one of the worst teams we'll play all year, we lost to them. San Fran was one of the worst teams in the league, we almost lost to them. Wash is not very good, we lost to them.

2) Most good teams rely on their scheme to overcome a lack or disadvantage in talent. We are trying to force our talent to overcome our lack of scheme.
And let's face it, our O AND D schemes are greatly lacking right now.

Maybe we'll be a good team by the end of the year, but we aren't now. And we shouldn't say the word "contender" around here for a while yet.

Oh, and that pass to Terry Glenn for 50+ yards, most beautiful ball I've seen from Bledsoe all year. How did we lose that game? How? It wasn't the players.

I find your first point to be contradictory to all your other points you made. My apologies for taking you quotes out of their orignial context, but I don't agree with your assessment. I think there are more issues here starting with the Head Coach on down to the starting FS.

I understand what you are trying to say. I still stand by my statement we are not a bad team.

Right now we are an average team.

We start running the Football like I know we can we will be a very good Football team. There is no question in my mind.
