I went over there to have a good laugh, I was sure everybody would be beating their chest and talking about how we suck and how they are going to kick our arse, ect......

However, the place is very subdued and not alot of trash talking threads either. There is one about how Wade is just keeping the seat warm for Garrett and that Garrett will be the HC next year if we dont win the SB.

There is another talking about how TO makes Romo look good and that Romo is not going to be posting all these 100+ QB ratings once TO retires.

I think most of the Skin fans think they are going to lose, even if they dont admit it. You can just kinda tell by the mood overthere.

My .02

I do not think that is an out of line thought.

We have yet to see how well Romo does without a stud receiver like Owens out there. We all saw how well Aikman did without Irvin. It wasn't pretty. There are not many quarterbacks who can elevate average talent.

At least they're pretty humble.

The Eagles MB, OTOH, they're almost always predicting they'll blow us out when we play them.

Same can be said if Campbell didn't have Santana Moss.

Without Owens, WHO will be getting all these double/triple teams? Patrick Crayton?? And you can also kiss having a safety playing deep goodbye as well.

Skins fans know they are in for a beating this week. You'd have to be a GD moron not to know it.

They know......they know.

While we probably will get beat, I dont believe it will be a "beating". If recent years are any indication to what we will be seeing, it should be a close game.

Yeah, just like the beating you guys gave us last December.

Oh wait.... ;)

And because of Aikman I'm quite sure you won't see Jerry allowing Romo to go under manned at WR ike Aikman had to. Jerry will make sure there is a replacement here by the time that situation rolls around.

That might be true. Jerry tried with Joey Galloway. We all know how that worked out.

You just don't find TO or Irvin type WRs everyday

Easier said then done, in particular with how much trouble teams have had in developing top flight WRs this decade

I want to say I saw a stat that said something like 6 Wrs drafted since 2002 have become all pros. Some real small number

Very, very, very true. I didn't say it would be easy, I just said it would get done. :p

How many more years do you think T.O. has?

3 (including the rest of this year) at his current production at most.

5 if he will accept a lesser role.

Sounds crazy ..... but the guy is a genetic freak.

That he is. And he works incredibly hard at it, eats an almost perfect diet and consumes no alcohol

However even the best conditioned athlete can quickly start to lose it in his mid to late 30s

Jerry Rice was still effective but not the same after 35

He's got the rest of this year and maybe 2 more beyond that. I think 1 for sure, possibly two. So next year we're likely looking for the guy to eventually step in and take his place, possibly either FA or Draft for the next couple of offseasons in order to replace him.

I dont see TO retiring anytime soon unfortunatly. I think he will play 5 more years.

I see TO playing until his bodie deteriorates or he gets an injury that ends up slowing him down bigtime.

I forget the dude is about to be 35 years old...seems like he is the fastest/strongest WR in the game even though there are dudes 12 years younger than he is.

And another genetic freak name of Darrell Green could probably STILL lace up the spikes and cover 95 per cent of the WRs in the NFL...

I'd be THRILLED if he could play another 5 years and play them at a high level. If he does that I wouldn't be upset in the least.

T.O. with his work ethic and apparent level of maturity he is showing right now he should be around atleast another 6 to 7 years.
