Why wont we use these blowouts as a chance to get some of our backups more experience? Today was a perfect opportunity to get Choice and Bollinger a lot of action. Once the 4th quarter began, Johnson, TO, Witten, and Barber should have rode the bench. Bollinger, Choice, Bennett, and Williams should have gotten all the snaps in the 4th. This way they get gametime speed and action. This way we have game film of all of them for evaluation.
But no, we keep Johnson in the whole game. We keep TO and Witten in the whole game. We keep Barber in almost the whole game. So not only do we lose big, we risk injury to key players, and we sacrifice the opportunity to get quality minutes for our reserves.
We have been doing this same nonsense for several years now and it makes no sense. I am disgusted by these events.
