The Center is supposed to be the big stabilizer of the OL. He is the QB of the OL. He is the one who directs the blocking schemes. He is also supposed to be on the same page with his QB. Gurode is as dumb as a stump and while Romo is on Page 200 of a classic novel, Gurode is on page 2 of Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Mitch Williams was more accurate with his pitches than Gurode is with his snaps, especially in the shotgun.

I say if we get a new starting center, Jonathan Luigs is my favorite choice, but I will settle for Eric Wood, then we can either move Gurode to Guard or simply make him a backup. Heck, maybe drafting a legit Center, could push Gurode into playing the way he did after Haynesworth stopped a mudhole in his face.

I blame all of our offensive line and blocking difficulties on Gurode. He is not doing his job as the QB of the OL.

The offensive line was horrifically bad two weeks in a row. Were it not for Romo's mobility, they would have hung ten sacks on us. An unblocked blitzer was coming through on seemingly every play. This doesn't excuse Romo's decision making, or missing Miles on a sure TD, but have these *******s never seen a stunt before?

It is the Center's job to call blitz protection....Gurode isnt doing his job.....

Honestly, if I wasn't a Cowboys fan, I would be laughing my butt off at all those wild shotgun snaps, late snaps, early snaps that catch Romo off guard. But I am a Cowboys fan and so it pisses me off.

Yet, he made 2 straight Pro Bowls.

I think Proctor can play center....

Why not blame it on the guys at the top, just like the offsides penalties.

So the Ravens don't have any offsides penalties, and no early snap issues, maybe it's because their coach is meticulous when it comes to details, the very small things that can cut your throat in a tight game.

You just know that every week will have a few shotgun "adventures", courtesy of Mr. Gurode.

Either an inaccurate snap that Romo has to grab with one hand, or a "floater" that hangs forever, or an early snap that catches Romo off-guard, or a late snap that leads to either a false start or delay of game... it's something EVERY week with Gurode in shotgun.

But hey... at least he's not chucking them over Tony's head anymore, right?

Gurode is a ****ing idiot

the memory of him just looking at Romo, while Romo is screaming for him to snap the ball will never leave me

biggems, I have played around with your idea in my head too, this is a guy who got distracted by his best friend (Torrin Tucker)

that just shows you how limited, metally this guy is

Gurode is definitely as dumb as he looks. Romo had a horrific game. But our defense gave up 150 rushing yards in TWO plays. 82 of them were to a fullback on one play.. 9 (maybe 10) penalties for 90ish yards. We killed ourselves in every facet of the game.

Romo says it took them 3 qtrs to start getting a feel for what they were doing with the rush. Those delay rushes by their lbs shouldn't have been that difficult. Yet, our OL engaged a down lineman and don't disengage to even put a hand on the incoming LB. It shouldn't have taken 3 qtrs to address this.

Gurode is an okay center, but lately he's been good for a couple goofs a game. It's a crap shoot, will he hike it early, or too late? Those are the kind of mistakes you have to coach out of him. Once the ball has snapped, he's not too bad in the run/pass block department. But you cannot kill a drive every week with your big knuckleheaded snapping mishaps.

Hasn't Gurode been around since the Campo days? The guy has physical talent, but he just cannot get his head around the mental aspect of the game at either guard or center. This won't change, so time to look for a new center.....

The Ravens do this to everyone. They disguise their blitzes.

Giving the beat down to Gurode, who had a key block on Choice's game clinching TD last week, seems off, way off. Are you kidding me? I don't think Gurode had anything to do with the outcome of this game.

He is among the best in the NFL at his position. He is going to his 3rd straight Pro Bowl. The players and coaches make up 2/3 of the vote.

Many say he's the best at his position, including Tony Saragoosa.

The Cowboys offensive line was built to pound on people.

Choice had about 90 yards on 17 carries.

He couldn't have gotten the ball more.

Like I said...

Garrett puts too much pressure on this offensive line... He has these guys moving back in pass protection all day, instead of moving forward...

Gurode also goes shot-gun way too much, considering his problems. Why does Garrett call shot-gun so much?

He's really stupid. One of the dumbest centers I can EVER remember getting voted to the pro bowl. Should be a guard permanently because of his stupidity.
