Yeah your probably right, but it got half empty waiting on em to sign the ones we know what kind of play to expect out of, then play russian roulette with the rest, just exasperated me that were letting Colombo and Gramatica, who may not be a great kicker i admit, but was a lot better than the free agent we payed so much for last year, travel everywhere around the league instead of taking care of business, trust me when i say the other free agents if they think they need them i think its great get them, i just believe in taking care of your own first then taking a chance on someone else's.............

FA period has just started this is not a 1 day deal where you run out and blow your wad right off the bat. Dallas is dealing with players and set to meet with others. What do you want Jerry just to open the check book and say "How much do you want, Next"? A big mistake would be to pull a Snider and try to buy a championship by forking over big time money and not getting jack in return.

you my friend are missing my whole point, i am not talking about free agency being 12 hours old, Colombo and Gramatica have been here since last season, and by my thinking should have already been signed to secure not losing ground, before you start taking chances on gaining ground, and nowhere did you see me say sign any of the ones released by other teams yet, i dont care how long they take with those, i do care about securing what you already have, unless your going to replace it with a guaranteed upgrade and after last year with Vanderjact i dont think those exist in free agency any more.................................

Maybe Jerry wants to see if a coaching change makes a big difference, so just bring back the same team, might be interesting to see. Maybe he needs to save some money to build the new stadium.

Grammatica isnt going anywhere...there isnt going to be much demand for him...

and with Columbo, why rush to sign him to a deal if he's asking for too much money?...I'd like to see him back too, but not at any price...sometimes its best to let guys see what the market will be

Can't believe Jerry & the Cowboys don't have pretty good idea what Colombo's market value is. On the other hand maybe Colombo's expectations are higher then they realistically should be. I'm not freaked out about our not signing any FAs yet (FA only a day old) from other teams but concerned re Colombo & Gramatica. What do we gain if we sign Davis but lose our starting RT. Do we have to sign a RT which probably will cost more then Colombo (maybe not?), or draft a player & who knows if this player is a starter guy in first year, or move either Adams or McQuistan to RT; I guess Fabini also an option at RT but certainly not my choice.
