I am torn on Randy Gregory

Elite pass rusher in college who magically drops to Dallas in 2nd round. Who wouldn't be excited. Having followed him on twitter in off-season I can now easily see how this kid went adrift. Now first let me say I don't think he is bad in anyway but more of just immature guy. He post questionable retweeds: 1) one about some girl retweeting some guy showing his junk in shower. 2) Yesterday he tweets out:

"I lose sleep over the thought of playing football again smh, season to come on already

"

I get sense that Randy Gregory doesn't love football. After the humiliation of dropping from possible top 5 pick to second round this is what I would expect his tweet to look like:

"Can't sleep...chomping bit to start hitting and showing what they missed on. #cowboyszone."

Having said this, when I watched him in pads in minis he could be special. His ability to lean, burst from start to finish, length makes him potentially elite. But boy I have moderate concerns on whats going on upstairs.

I'm not sure he intended for that to read the way it does. I wouldn't be surprised if he meant to say something like "I lose sleep waiting for football to get get here. Season come on already!" I'm not a mind reader, but I doubt he intended to tweet something that shows he dreads the thought of football season approaching. He certainly doesn't play like a guy who doesn't have a passion for the game. I'm more concerned about him failing another drug test than not loving the game. Like most Cowboys fans, I'm really excited about his potential.

I think you are totally misreading his tweet. It was worded poorly but I think he is saying that he can't wait for the season to start. I think he is excited and just worded it poorly.

Hope you're right.
The "smh" part made we think he feels the offseason went by too fast and he can't believe football is already starting again.
Not gonna worry though. Up till now I got the opposite impression from him...that he had a passion for the game.

Not gonna fret.

Fwiw though, probably 90% of players absolutely hate training camp. It doesn't mean they don't bust their tails or realize that it's a necessary pain in butt to get ready for the season.

You are misreading his tweet. He can't sleep because of his excitement thinking about playing football again. Sounds like he really just loves to play and of all teams to play on America's Team? I'd be all kinds of giddy.

I honestly wonder if autocorrect screwed it up. That seems like a clumsy sentence autocorrect would blurt out if one was tweeting in a hurry.
