send our season into a tailspin. Tucker probably wont block well, price will do fine, JJ being out is going to kill our running game, dat wont be the same. I hope im wrong.

You're always wrong. That's what's so right about you.

You know what? Good teams overcome injuries. If we can't overcome these injuries then we weren't ready anyway.

Yeah, they hurt, but they sure don't make it impossible.

Price
Tucker - did fine and will do fine
Shanle - stepped in an 2-0 no lost ground there
JJ - That one concerns me LT but fact is we aren't running with any of our backs this year so far - and are 2-0

This is not a rash of injuries 6 weeks in but the norm.

I think Parcells will keep this team on an even keel. I remember Petitti's dad talking early on about how Rob said the team was developing mental toughness - now is the time that shows. This team can overcome adversity just as well as any other, we've got some depth and we have some pretty good players on both sides of the ball. We have shown we can win in blowouts and win ugly. I see no reason to believe that this team can't find ways to win until we get both JJ and Crayton back. And if losing Flozell alone is enough to end our season then we weren't very good to begin with. One lineman shouldn't derail your entire offense.

That is correct..........some folks here are adamant that we pack it in because Flo is out for the year. These are the same folks who come down hard on Flo when he makes his stupid mistakes.

Funny how that is true isn't it?

JJ will be back and maybe this injury is a blessing in disguise. It will cut back on his carries which will keep him fresher at the end of the season. So far this season, he has been running just to kill clock or setup play action in most games. His production hasn't approached what it eventually will by seasons end. Also, it gives Bill a chance to look at how reliable the backups are. I think Barber is going to be a stud backup RB. He can fill in and take on 25 carries, while still having the abilities to do all the other things Bill wants in a RB (block/catch).

Flo's injury is devestating, but if Tucker steps up and plays to his potentional, the loss of Flo will be minimized. Tucker has the size and ability to be a solid starter. If he finally 'gets it', then Dallas will be in very good shape along the line.

The loss of Crayton obviously hurts a lot, but that's only because we don't know what Price can do for this team. He may come out and turn a lot of heads. If that happens, then Dallas all of a sudden becomes 4 deep at WR with players that have proven to produce this season. Price is unproven, so far. I think that will change.

This team has shown such great resilience so far that I have no doubt they will finish stronger than they started. The quiters are gone. The ballas are here to stay.

That's how I feel too. This team will get stronger as the season progresses. They aren't going to pack it in because of a few injuries. Our D has gotten better every week, and we'll likely need to lean on them a bit more the next few games, but I think the way they've stepped up makes it likely that they can handle the load. We're likely going to have a few more nail biters, because Parcells will probably pull back and play conservatively due to the injuries. But we've won some of those already, and our D is only getting better.

Also, don't discount the big play potential of Peerless Price. The guy is genuinely fast. He might not have Crayton's hands, but he's got legit NFL WR hands and that's good enough combined with his other abilities. I could easily see us playing close to the vest and then taking a couple of shots a game to Price. Or if Parcells feels a little more comfortable maybe Price will start to help stretch the D and open up the underneath stuff for Witten and Key. We've still got plenty of options with Price in there for Crayton. I really just hope JJ comes back, because I think our running game is infinitely more dangerous with him in there.

TT & MB3 might be enough to tide us by untill JJ is fully ready.
In reality Price was gotten just for this eventuality.
Flo- he was inconsistent and prone to penalities this year- so the drop off might not be that much- IF TUCKER finally has figured it out.
