If Jerry doesn't find a way to hire him on to the coaching staff somebody else will. I am convinced that this guy is made to coach. His passion and intensity are hard to match, a very rare quality.

Find a way Jerry, find a way to hire Irvin before you lose out on a treasure right under your very nose.

I agree....he is a would be a tough, intense coach that brings instant credibility....I would take him on the staff in a heartbeat.

I would have loved to have him as a coach - even if it was just the WR's - in the locker room when we were getting handled in Philthy in the last game last year....

Mike would bring that fire this team is missing. I don't see anyone on the current coaching staff that has that kind of intensity. If there was maybe some of the players would show it. I know this isn't HS Football and these guys are pro's. But look around the league. Most teams that play with fire have a coach or coaches that coach with that same fire.

It would be nice if he was on staff....
1 year at WR coach - If Garrett goes HC then he could do a fire up the offense as the OC is in the press box.

just because you guys are affected by the way Mike is, doesn't mean he would be a good coach.

Some of the best coaches in the world never have to raise their voice.

There is more than one way to skin a coach.

I think he would be a great coach but at the same time I think he'd burn himself out quickly.

Sherman is a great coach but I would welcome Mike with open arms. He would still probably outwork most players.

Pearlman's book has a funny line, 'Mike could stay out later than anyone, show up minutes before practice wreaking of hookers, booze, and marijuana - then proceed to outwork every single player in that practice facility. Not only that, he would start screaming and daring anyone to work harder than him.'

And four some of the best coaches were yelling all the time as well. To generalize is to ignore way too many possibilities.

Good grief, people... This is a TV show. A reality show, at that. Real coaching isn't acting or motivational speaking.

And Irvin wouldn't want the incredibly unglamorous, grueling, and relatively low-paying job of an NFL assistant coach anyway.

LOL

Coaches are not celebrities, and that is what irvin is doing this for. To keep the spotlight on him for as long as he can.

Irvin has proven to be unreliable and a guy who could end up in jail at any moment. Hiring him as a coach of anything would be extremely short sighted and completely dumb by any general manager.

Man coaching sucks and it takes a special kind of individual to like it and to be good at it. In my opinion Mike is not wired that way. He would be dead in a week after having a complete breakdown with todays players, lol.

BTW, great video, lol.

I did it one year, at the college level, and basically as a quality control coach.

It is a grind like few can handle. I respect coaches immensely.

I don't need to watch the video. The first shot convinced me.... whatever I needed to be convinced about, I was.
