I became a Cowboy fan on Thanksgiving 1971 which fell on the 25th that year. It falls on the 25th this year too. I am looking forward to a nice victory on my 50th anniversary. A SB would be nice too :) But you know what they say...one game at a time.

That’s awesome! Enjoy it man!

Happy golden anniversary. That was a weird game in 1971. Tommy Prothro was the Rams coach and knew that the team was going nowhere. I seem to remember from that game he threw all kinds of weird unbalance formations at the Cowboys and tried to confuse us. We still held on to win the game although it was really unusual to watch.

I became a Cowboys fan when I farted in the Cottonbowl in 1960 at the 1st game they ever played.

I was 8 and in front of our b&w TV, watching my first Cowboys game in 1962. We lived overseas from 59-61 and we kept hearing about this Dallas Texans team from family in South Texas. I've been a diehard fan since then, and it still hurts when they lose. Go Cowboys

Was a Cowboy fan the second I saw these stars....

Jim Doran scored the first TD in Cowboys history Sept 24 1960 vs the Steelers, a 75 yard bomb fom little Eddie LeBaron.

We went 0-11-1 that season.

Doran the only NFL player out of Buena Vista College, he did transfer to Iowa State, Spent nine seasons as a Detroit Lion, his only pro bowl was that 1960 season.

A sprinter, who high jumper and threw the shout....huh????

I was 5 watching on a 19 inch black and white, as the Colt kicker kicked the winning FG in SB V.. never saw my dad and brother so pissed....I liked the star on the helmets and been hooked ever since...
