I think we will all be surprised. If Bill is still saying that he is doing good then I have to believe he is right, considering he has no problem saying when someone screws the pooch.

how exactly is LT Tucker's natural position? He was a guard and college and a RT thus far in the NFL. AS far as I know his LT experience is last week's quarter and a half.

any guy who'd not give up after third and fifty at least has determination.

I wish Tucker well because he is our best option at this point in time. I have little confidence in him and expect him to get regularly lit up just as he did at RT last season.

It will be up to BP, Payton and Sprano to scheme around Tucker's deficiencies.

I hope as much as anyone that Tucker steps up and plays solidly at LT.

But to be honest, I doubt it. He struggled at RT so what makes some of you guys think he's gonna flourish at LT is beyond me. Dude doesn't have what it takes between the ears.

My biggest concerns with Tucker are penalties and speed rushers. I think he can hold his own against guys who are mainly bull rushers, but I see him struggling against guys with speed who have that burst off the line. His knack for penalties could be his biggest obstacle though.

As a fellow Southern Miss alumnus who was there when TT played, I pray he serves my favorite team well and makes the University proud.

These next two game are very important for Tucker. If he starts out with a good game this week and follows it up with a solid outing at home before the bye week his confidence will be soaring. If he let's up a sack or two this week he may not be starting anymore after the bye week.

Beleiving in himself is what Tucker needs to do, his athleticism was never an issue for this kid. I hope Flozell helps him as much as possible in the transition and also in film study of his up coming opponents.

Maybe the fact that BP has confidence in him and stated that he is playing much better (based on yesterday's PC). I'll give BP the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Let's also remember that anyone who lined up at RT struggled last year, and part of the reason was the guard playing beside him.

Pettitti has definitely had a better situation this year with Rivera beside him...can you imagine getting advice or line calls or reminders from Gurode last season?

Tucker will perform better on the left side than the right simply because he has a veteran beside him who doesn't make a ton of his own mental mistakes. LA will give him reminders and advice, and if need be, a "Cortez-like punch to the face"...haha.

Tucker is a big question mark right now, but I think he'll make fewer mistakes and get more help on the left side than he ever did on the right side.

I have hope for Tucker.

I didn't initially, but after reviewing the tape from last week, he played pretty well.

When he got on his blocks, he stayed with them. Did a nice job in pass protection. Looked quick.

I am holding out hope for him.

I"m thinking that just because he played Guard, doesn't mean that's his "Natural Position" He may have the better natural tools to play LT. I mean, I'm 6'4" 200lbs and I played DE in Highschool. Natural position was WR.

Agreed. I rewatched the game and he played fine.

They should have kept Rogers & or Vollers for this reason.

Rogers is on IR, and Tucker outplayed Vollers in TC - which should tell you everything you need to know about Vollers.
