You and I both know this we should hold our enthusiasm because I'm betting you can find a 20 play highlight reel for justice about any college player make them look good.. I'm not saying he's not looking good that's a great highlight reel he looks a little like Devante Smith to me but that doesn't make him Devante Smith...

Trying to think of who reminds me of and that's the first guy that came to mind. But like I said I'm gonna need to see a lot more training camp preseason we've seen some preseason receivers here in Brooks and Cropper and others that didn't do much in the regular season so you know I mean nice video but I gotta see more...

I'm not dismissing your video great highlights but we've seen this said and we've seen highlights by Flournoy and you're seeing guys like Cropper and Brooks look really good in preseason then disappear in the regular season so as much as I wanna feel good about this i've been burned before by highlight reels. Finding 20 to 25 plays by a college prospect especially on a team that has a wide open offense like that probably easy to do but I want to know the rest...
 
Mingo(4.45) is faster than Kelly (4.7) and Holden (4.57) in their 40 times. Not saying the position is all about speed but it does help. I like the length on all of them. Can they learn to run precise routes is what is important.

His real highlight reel is almost 20 minutes....

Jonathon Mingo lacks WR skills. I don't know how any UDFA will do but it will hard to do less with 42 targets than Jonathon Mingo did last year. 17 catches, 28.6% success rate.

By comparison, lifetime back up Turpin had 52 targets last year with 420 yards and 2 TDs receiving. 48.1 % success rate.

Mingo has no idea how to use his hands to get open, lacks quickness in and out of breaks and generally sucks.

Look I said I like what I saw but sometimes people's highlight reels can be accumulated over 600 snaps and they can appear really good but we have no idea until we see for ourselves...

i'm not dismissing I saw the film I like it and maybe it'll turn out great I mean as a Cowboys fan we both hope he turns out great but we've just saw this smoke before never turned into fire.,,

so maybe this time is different the only leg up I can think of is the fact that junior was his coach at Oregon now he's here he knows a lot about him so that's upside whatever he had done that may have been looked at as bad teammate or whatever bad character,​

i'm sure that junior somehow told the Cowboys you need to get this guy on the team and maybe that's positive he's seen every play probably in high school and here and that's the only thing I can hang my hat on talk about..​
 
IDK, even those highlights were pretty "meh". Was that flag thrown against him after knocked the defender down 20 yards down the field?

One thing I also noticed is that with all the talking the commentators were doing pre-snap, I didn't once here them talking about him.

He is big and looks like can get contested balls, if he cando that against nfl CBs we may have a WR.

He was asked about this a long time ago. Said that he wrote it but there was a big stink about the assistance of AI. Some chess playing dork was dateless for the 42nd consecutive Saturday night, and ran the the statement through an AI assistance detector that spit out that 85-90% (Going from memory, but those numbers are damn close) of the letter was AI generated.

Did he write it, didn’t he write it, did someone proof read it, or hold his hand through the entire process - I have no idea. The joke around the campus was that he didn’t have human assistance due to this very line of questioning. They would have kept the meaning but modified the word choice to make it less perfect.

I hate these apologies anyway. They are always so disingenuous. Of course you’re sorry, YOU GOT CAUGHT!
