I just don't understand how Jerry built a dynasty in the first few years as GM and now we have such a long drought. He just seemed to make all the right picks, trades and decisions. Just a string of bad luck I suppose.....

I disagree with some of your opinions. But the main point still stands - it all falls on Jerry, good or bad. And he knows that.

He has painted himself into a corner. He knows Garrett has to go.

If you really think about it, Jerry Jones the GM in terms of personnel acquisition is not the problem. His entire career, he has never been able to nail the coaching thing. This next hire I think has been held off for so long because he honestly doesn't know how to evaluate the correct talent for the job.
