I called it weeks ago: We will win the NFCE

How many doubters are left? Look who our competition is:

Commanders: Lost their QB, WR's mostly suck, TE's always getting hurt, still have O-line issues
Giants: Dug themselves a deep hole, Eli fades late in seasons lately, not good enough to make a stretch run anyway
Eagles: 12 players injured, three more playing hurt all the time lately, Wentz the Great is not so great leading a MASH unit, Jesus himself would have to come down to Earth and heal that team. No miracles in Philly this year.

Boys, this is it. Garrett saves his job with a first place finish this year.
We still have plenty to go before we start patting ourselves on our backs. That said, way to stay positive. I love it when fans do that through the worst of times. It taint easy.

Yes the stars seemed to have aligned for us to take the NFCE.

Still have to play the games and win and no one is going to roll over for us. If you think the Eagles will roll over at the end of the season, you’re dead wrong. They’ll fight us tooth and nail. Divisional games are close no matter what.

Can’t start assuming winning is easy all of a sudden.

No! you did not I called it before you did, Months ago!

Commanders:

@Cowboys
@Eagles
Giants
@Jaguars
@Titans
Eagles

Cowboys:

Commanders
Saints
Eagles
@Colts
Buccaneers
Giants

So, let's say Dallas wins Thursday. That puts Dallas and the Commanders tied for first.

I find it difficult to believe this defense can stop Brees and the Saints. So can the Eagles beat the Skins? If so, still tied.

Then its the rematch with the Eagles. Can Dallas do it again? If so, Skins have the Giants. Maybe still tied.

Dallas @ Colts who are the 5th best scoring offense in the league. Skins against the Jags who seem to have found their normal terribleness. Is this where the tie ends?

Then rematch with the Giants, who may be mailing it in by then. The Skins have the Eagles at home.

So where does the tie end if Dallas wins Thursday?
Giants think they are going to win the division. The Cowboys are fortunate to have 4 of six at home, but Skins, Saints, Colts and Giants are no gimmes.

I look at the other division leaders:

Rams
Bears
Saints
Patriots
Steelers
Texans
Chiefs.

And I think "so what?". We are far and away worse than all of them.

The NFC East stinks. We may stink a bit less than the others guys, but we still stink.

Nick Foles went 4-11 for 39 yards and an INT in week 17 last year. He went on to win 3 straight including scoring 41 points in a Championship game and out preformed Tom Brady for the Eagles first Trophy in 85 years. Excuse me for not caring one bit about your post. ;)

Great -- the self-appointed prophets are coming out of the woodwork, lately.

Let's just rejoice in the fact that things are going our way for a change, OK?

I almost gave you a like until that last sentence.

So what the patriots made a living off a terrible division this last decade. All we need to do is capitalize on the other 3 being down. The wild card team we likely face may end up with a similar record as our own. Doubtful we win it all but we could win a playoff game on the back of our defense.

How many times have we had things line up in our favor just to pee it all away

I still see the skins winning the division

The division is terrible again. Dallas may be turning it around just in time to win it.

Where have I heard this before? :rolleyes:
We have an easier road than the Skins, for sure.
But I'm still not convinced we've turned the corner.
We essentially beat two bad teams, including a division rival.
If we beat the Skins and the Saints, I might be inclined to hope for the playoffs.
But this team loves to pull the football away when you've regained confidence that you're going to kick it this time.

Please keep doubting guys. We do better if we're the underdogs. Thanks Jason Garrett. o_O

I agree with you but I see the team starting to put things together and maybe at the right time. The defense has been playing well the whole season aside from the Seahawks and Commanders game, I guess they did keep the score way lower than it could've been in those games, but the offensive line looks much better since Columbo took over and sua filo has been inserted. The addition of Cooper has seemed to have an effect on the entire offense because now you see less defenders close to the line of scrimmage, opening up the run game. Linehan has incorporated Zeke more into the passing game. If Dak continues to grow like he apparently is since coopers arrival this team could be a scary team to play against because wed be a low seed with nothing to lose. We have a good defense and a great run game. I know Tavon Austin isnt a number 1 receiver BUT if you put him on the field next to a number one receiver like an Amari Cooper that's a lot of speed and quickness on the field you have to account for. Let me give a scenario of what I'm talking about. Let's put Amari on the left side running up and in toward the seam to go past the safety and Tavon Austin runs a complimentary route up and out from the left slot toward the sideline, if coopers man tried to cheat and take Austin underneath cooper is wide open with only a safety to beat. The key is Austin from the slot being able to create separation from the slot which I know he can . Austin was used primarily on the outside before cooper arrived but now he could be used next to cooper as a quick route or as a sideline route threat which allows cooper to play from the slot which allows his quickness to take over as Tavons speed keeps a CB occupied with his speed. Beasley works too with his quickness and he will make plays but just having Austin on the same field as Cooper opens up so much field because they both have so much speed
