Tank Johnson anyone?

Yes-I have to agree. I would go for him in a heartbeat-he's no TO/Moss, who break down if things don't go their way-IOW, he's feels he needs a 2nd chance.

Not for another 5 weeks. Johnson isn't a 3-4 DT anyway. I'm not sure he'd be any more serviceable than Remi or Ratliff.

I'd sign him. He's an unbelievable athlete that would look amazing in Wade's 3-4.

Nope. He'll be suspended the first half of the season anyway.

He's certainly big enough to play NT, and you can't tell me he isnt better than Remi or Ratliff. He was only the #2 in Chicago because he had arguably the best DT in the league in front of him

I might be wrong, but IIRC the one complaint out of Chicago about the guy was that he was weak at the point of attack. He was awesome if he could use his speed, but didn't fight off blocks well once the OG locked up on him. That's not exactly the kind of guy you want anchoring the middle of a 3-4 defensive alignment.

I'm almost positive that was the report that I had read right after his suspension was announced. I could be wrong (surely wouldn't be the first time), but I would almost swear by it FWIW.
