The Jones cartel has a history of digging in when the criticism starts flowing. They are honestly so insulated in their ivory towers, I think they are shocked when a former player (especially one Jerry has inducted into the ROH) offers any kind of real criticism. They usually act surprised, then offended and then obstinate and defensive.

Jerry has only fired a HC midseason once, and it was after the 2010 1-7 start. I fully expect JJ to dig in his heels hard this week. If the team wins even 7 games I fully expect Garrett to be extended. The only real hope for a change is for this team to fall into a 4-6 win season, which I expect at this point. We’ll see.

So you can interview coaches sooner I think is the only benefit.

I'd have much more respect for Garrett if he fires Linehan and goes out swinging.
