Okay, in the thread talking about if the NFL fined TO for waving
his towel I said if they fined him I would buy one of those towels.
I didnt want one, didnt intend to buy one but since he is now a
Dallas Cowboy I wanted to support him. ( i know he doesnt need my money).
So call it a show of solidarity.
My wife beat me to getting it ordered and like good women everywhere
she didnt actually buy just the towel, she ordered a signed copy of
"Little T Learns to Share" and the towel came with it. Now we have a copy
to read to our grandkids.

I just find it funny that probably no one knew the towel was even for sale until the NFL decided to make it an issue.

TO should consider the 10k fine an "Advertisement Expense."

Maybe get some sort of tax writeoff?

I remember going to his site when he first joined dallas so I could here his "Im a cowboy now" song that he has playing on the homepage. Checked out his shop and thought it was funny he was selling them. Wonder how much he pulls off them.

What's even worse is..

The NFL fines him for waving his towel.

But yet, on the NFL Network.. him waving the towel, is part of a segement of an actual commercial. I've seen it three-four times in the past 2 days alone.

So, you fine him for $10k for using the towel as an advertisement, then you condone it in a way by putting it on a commercial on your Networks channel?

I'm sure that's not too funny to T.O.'s attourneys, who will surely use that evidence as part of T.O's appeal of the fine. That's because T.O. was fined under the premise that he is marketing non-NFL-licenced memorabelia by waving his towel. But by using the same image as part of the NFLN's promotions, the NFL, who owns the network, is likewise marketing non-NFL-licenced memorabelia.

I've noticed that too, but the funny thing is it wasn't the last game against the Eagles where we all saw him do it.

Mine hasn't arrived yet.

Why buy something from a Hired Gun...when you can buy something from some real cowboys.

I ordered a 10 pack, when my order arrived there was only one towel.
Bummer thing was, I was going to give the towels to my sister, B-n-L and niece. The are going to two games Washington and NyJ, i wanted them to have to take with them. I am in San Francisco this week so I won't see them before they leave.
My niece is threatening to buy me a TO jersey, she know i don't like TO.
He may be a Cowboy and I cheer when he makes a good play, but I still don't like him.

he should thank the nfl, b/c people didn't even know those towels existed this time last week, and now all you fools are buying them.

:laugh2:

hey, don't get me wrong, i think it's great. more power to ya'll. i love the principle involved for sure.

it's just funny.

it's like when people protested Body Count b/c of "cop killer." no one ever would have even heard that song or probably that band if the media didn't make a big deal about it. same idea.

way to go, nfl!

:laugh1:

I don't actually get upset when a player gets fined or anything because all the money does go to charity, so I don't feel too bad. It actually worked out well, T.O. got free advertising for his towel and he did a good service by donating $10,000.
