I Disagree - playcalling looked the same

I just finished rewatching the game, other than our normal runs into the middle of the line on the 11 times we ran on first down versus the 7/8 times we passed on first downs, the play calling looked like what we had been doing the previous 3 games, just watered down to get the plays in quickly so that Dak would have time to try to audible due to the crowd noise, but those plays were Kellen Moore's design, there was no mistaking that.
I stand by what I have said before and what a few other knowledgeable posters have said, the offensive line was beat all night save the opening drive in the 3rd quarter, and the only reason I am saying they may have won on that drive is because we scored a TD.
The crowd noise is a real thing, and we never took them out of the game, if it comes down to us playing them again in the playoffs no matter where the game is played we will win.
Zeke never had an opportunity to make anyone miss, so everyone that complained about that need to stop it. He caught a few passes out of the backfield but as soon as he caught the balls he was tackled he never had an opportunity to focus catch the ball and to turn and run, as soon as the pass was caught he was contacted by the defender.
We shot ourselves in the foot, and the refs shot us as well. Jarwin caught a pass that should have been a first down to keep a drive going but he ran his route a foot short of the marker, they called a bogus PI on Cooper that killed another drive, they ruled Zeke fumbled when his elbow was clearly on the ground. Witten got the ball punched out from behind. OLine getting pushed back into Dak not giving him time to look down the field.
No, even though the plays were watered down, it was a Kellen Moore play calling and nothing made me even think of Linehan.
The defense played very good, but there were a few things, like Mike Thomas was not going to beat any of our DBs deep we should have been his face all night. Robert Quinn played another heck of a game with his tireless motor, but just like I said against the dolphins he kept running himself up the field past the QB, yes he provided pressure all night, and he had 2 sacks he should have had at least 3 more, but as I said he runs himself up the field, when he should go up the field 3/4 steps and then head directly toward the QB, or up the field and then go under the Tackle, a lot more because he did do it a few times just not enough, too many times I saw him go past his man and the tackle would just push him on up past the QB.
With the crowd noise we did not audible and do a whole lot of motion, but we did have motion just not as much as a lot of people wanted.
At the end of the day,we lost the game, we will be alright this season, we will beat GB!
I always say that we will go 19-0 whenever I am asked before the season, but I know that is very hard to do the odds are greatly against that, just asked the patriots.
But I do believe we will or can go 15-1, 14-2, no less than 13-3 the regular season.
Oh, one last thing we had a good game plan, you have to give the saints defense credit, and you have to place the majority of the blame on our Offensive Line, we go as they go. When the OLine comes to play the run game is great , the passing game is great and the play calling even the in game adjustments are good, and that's with any team, not just with our team, but our OLIne is built to run the ball, so any and everyone knows that and that is what they harp on, which makes casual fans and unknowing fans and those fans that think they know, not realize that the game is won and lost in the trenches, because without the Oline and Dline doing their jobs you will have pretty sorry teams, because you cannot block or stop anyone to win a game.
We were OUTPLAYED, versus OuTCOACHED, the saints coaching staff did not do anything more spectacular than our staff, ! Sean Peyton called the game the way he needed to with the QB he had, he played it very close to the vest and took what he could get against our defense. With Brees yes, it could have been different, but they had Brees last season and he did not do much they lost last season to us, it was another close game,

I agree with most of that but I had them at 11-5 before the season and sticking with that..

and I didnt have to re-watch, I remember the nightmare in my dreams..ive tried to defend EE since Sunday with tons of resistance..

yes it would have been nice if he ran bit more explosive but more then half the carries he was being met almost at the handoff..

The oline did not run block well at all...

There is still time to edit your post and add paragraphs or lines between paragraphs...

Good points. We were, basically outplayed and I think our Offense just wasn't in the game but it's okay. These games happen. NOw we are gonna have a different starting O-line versus GB but I think we will be okay.

Same with me, I keep hearing how he's not a complete back, and how he held out for a big contract and he needs to earn it.

Yep, I think that most of us agree with your analysis and respect it. However, we all love to break down what the team could have done to win. I myself, believe that the team needs to learn from their mistakes and overcome adversity the next time they are presented with the same scenario. I do think that Dak performed well. The issue was the clog and drop scheme that NO presented and the D-line dominating the Cowboys O-line. The reach block and the 2nd level blocking that the Cowboys excel at did not work. That is an issue that the team can from. The crownd noise did have an effect on the pre-snap motion. I thought that the team will learn on how to develop the motions and reads in a variety of conditions.

I think that the O-line had health issues that they were dealing with that was apparent. It is alarming that La'el, Smith and Martin are all injured. This is a huge issue that the team is addressing. Thank goodness for depth on the Roster.

The team will bounce back, no worries. This year during the playoffs, the team will overcome the Saints.

Agree 100%, when did Collins get injured?

Stop with the Zeke was down nonsense. The rest of your pot is spot-on, but the ball was coming out before his elbow touched. It doesnt need to be completely out, it just needs to be coming out and it clearly was.

initially I thought and said the same thing, but after watching the game again his elbow was down he still had control of the ball and then it was ripped out. so nah we just disagree on that

That is the most bloated block of text I've ever seen.. I'll keep it simple for you- The zebra's make the right call on Zeke's obvious non fumble we win and aren't having these discussions.

I also disagree about coaching and play calling to an extent. You could see the Saints adjusting. They went from going east west and using their speed, to pounding north and south and running the clock. They perfectly peppered the screen passes as well.

The Cowboys had a gross lack of screens and misdirections against a team known for being hyper aggressive. Too much so at times.

I agree that in the end it came down to line play and the mistakes compounded it. The Cowboys win if they win the turnover margin. They win if the line pays even a smidg better.

The Cowboys are a better team than the Saints and that's why many of us are so annoyed. Time will tell if the game was the rule or the exception though.

I believe I predicted 10-6 or 9-7 and after Sunday and the injuries, I think 10-5 is very realistic.
