I don't care anymore, Roy Williams Has Morphed into a Girl

I don't care what the stats say, but this guy has become absolutely non-existent in any big game. You don't even see any real passion in him, and he now gets punked by the likes of Brandon Jacobs. Giant receivers use to drop the ball in fear of him... Obviously, the guy does his job, but so does the rest of America.

WHat is worse is when Roy has the underneath, with over-the-help top from Reeves. Could it be any worse in coverage?

I'm beginning to think that half of the stats that could be attributed to Roy by the hard-core defenders, are simply put on Jacques Reeves, because of the zone. This couple in prevent sucks eggs...

He is useless even on the blitz... It's freakin' incredible how much he has dropped off... the guy can't get to a QB anymore...

Roy is the last person you should be complaining about

it should be:

1.) Crayton
2.) Romo
3.) Leonard Davis
4.) Marc Colombo
5.) Andre Gurode

but..but.. he's in the Pro Bowl, he's the best SS in the league, he's misunderstood, the refs cheat against him, he's blamed for everything, nothing is his fault, just wait, someone will review the game tape errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr TV coverage and tell you how good he actually played today. Besides, he's changing his number next year, it's all good.

I actually agree with this part (Crayton needs to **** & Romo needs to get his mojo back), but no need for you to worry, I'm sure someONE will be in here with stats that "prove" Roy was the best player on the field.

Then, other guys will come in to cheer those stats.

No, he should be on the first. These are games when super stars step up. He didn't and hasn't all year. He has become average.

why in the WORLD would you start a Roy hate thread?? did you watch the game?? this game isn't on Roy at all.. he didn't make any plays today, cause nothing really came his way at all.. which means he must have been covering pretty well.. if you are wanting to start a hate thread, how about Crayton? Reeves? heck, Davis? Gurode? Henry even? or i could even understand Jason Garrett.. but Roy? give me a break..

If you notice, plenty of the catches on Reeves are in zone coverage, when Roy is covering the underneath.

That play in the prevent where Reeves came in, I believe Roy was also there and had the original responsibility.

Yup. I'm done, too. Held out as long as I could. Just deleted my Roy avatar.

I know the O-line had its issues down the stretch, but a team with ANY kind of respectable secondary defense doesn't lose this game. How the ONE guy who reliably catches passes for the Giants gets so open is beyond me. So sad we wasted all this time and opportunity with guys who were never going to get it done.

Blow it up. Find some players at DB. Hopefully they play specials and can actually get a stop on kickoffs before the 35 as well.

Too many areas to harp on in this loss, but I'm so sick of this soft defense after a whole season of frustration with it that I can't really focus on anything else. The other culprits tonight have at least done better things throughout the year.

How can anyone say anything bad about Romo? Romo played well, if Crayton catches his pass, we would be celebrating a win. He hardly had time to pass in the second half! What a pathetic show by the o-line, especially Gurode. He should consider himself sucked! All the penalties, especially by the o-line.

Agreed.

The estrogen level has definitely risen past a critical point.

It's a shame - he was always one of my favorite players. This year was supposed to be his breakout year (again) with him playing closer to the line.

He did make a few plays this year, but I was hoping that he would develop into a disruptive force.

Just so we're clear on his STATS (actually stat) for the game, Roy, the Pro Bowler, delivered one tackle for the biggest game of the year.

Since someONE loves tackle stats so much, Reeves led the team with five, so he must have had a great game, right? I mean he LED the team?!?!?

I bet most of those tackles were in zone coverage as well, when Roy was playing the underneath. So it is the Williams-Reeves combo that actually sucks...
