Well yeah, but they could be at the bottom of the second tier. Tampa Bay held them to 24 points today.

It's not black and white. Neither team is better or worse for the W or L. It is what it is. The Cowboys were able to run on them. They were able to pass on us. We lost due to 4 turnovers. Hard to beat anyone with that many TOs not to mention all the other mistakes.

How many penalties did the Giants have?

its all about winning, the giants won in our stadium, that counts and giants won at the end that counts

at the same time, this might allow us to fly under the radar still

Jed owns this team. NEVER happen. The stadium hoopla wasn't enough? AND we lost? Where, exactly, does this 'radar' exist? I'm confused.

Welcome to Last Monday.

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. Everything that was wrong with the team is just as wrong five days later. People seem to have a lot of trouble sustaining anger around here. Instead, there's a mad rush to "forgive and forget"--usually in record time.

The Cowboys run all over the vaunted Giant defense while scoring 31 points. The Giants need four gimme turnovers to win the game on a last-second field goal. The Giants are elite while the Cowboys are a bottom half team?

?????
so do you think the Cowboys should be ranked higher than the Gs... with maybe an asterik that notesthe gimme turnovers?

I know this might sound a bit strange, but I think our defense played such poor pass defense last Sunday night against the Giants because they over-prepared. That's right, over-prepared. No, I didn't get hit in the head with a hammer. Let me explain. We shut the Giant's run game down, particularly in the first half. Since the Giants rely so much on the ground game, I would suspect our defense spent the entire week preparing to stop the run. Actually, I think they spent almost all their time preparing for the Giant's running time. And it showed. We shut it down. However, in the NFL you've got to play defense well against the run AND the pass. Obviously I have no way of knowing, but I would bet we failed to prepare for and totally over looked the Giant's passing game.

You try playing a bad game, and then 5 days later, the day before your next game, dwell on all of the bad from a week ago.

You have to have a short memory to be successful in sports, hell in life too. You dwell on the past you're going to repeat it.

I applaud your effort, though, to attempt to bring us all back down into the ditch that we all fell into for a day or so last week. Great effort, but poorly played.

I think the Giants came in ready to give that game to us. New Stadium, big crowd, a lot of injuries to their defense, the number our defense did on them last year, they didn't come in expecting to win. They hung around and manufactured a win. That to me was the shocking thing, the stars were a lined for us to give them a beat down and we lost. That hurts and makes you question your team a little bit.

None of the haters have mentioned specifically that the last time we had 4 turnovers, we lost by 38 points.

Our defense did fairly well that last game, minus the secondary if you can even say that.

I agree. We took away their running game but lost the game due to a -4 turnover margin.

That's ok, we have 14 games to go. Jimmy Johnson was saying this the other day. You give the Giants 4 TO's, and it still took a last second FG to win. He thought it showed Dallas was clearly the better team.

You can't talk common sense in hear. Too many bruised ******'s.

Nothing they did well against one of the better team's matters. Boo Hoo Hoo.

Doesn't matter if the oppositions needed a few very fortunate bounces and a lousy PI call to squeak out a win.

The Cowboys lost thier home opener and my ****** hurts.

The Cowboys always lose these games, even though they haven't had a losing season in 5 years.

OUCH IT REALLY HURTS.

So if NY misses that field goal we played a great game? WP's excuse disease has hit this forum harder than I thought.

It is all based on perspective. We can say they got 4 TOs and Dallas ran the ball down their throats, others might say that they found a way to gut out a tough road win in a hostile environment. The truth is probably somewhere closer to the middle.

Dallas just needs to win some games, thats all that matters.

Honestly, we outplayed New York. We should have won that game.

However, we did not. Why? Because this team is gutless. Our coaches are gutless. The Giants did not make mistakes and took advantage of ours. They sacked up and drove the ball down our throats in front of 105,000 opposing fans on national TV for the game winning score.

On that last defensive series, nobody stepped up. Nobody showed any emotion. Everyone was pointing fingers. That drive was a microcosm of the whole game and the last few yers in general. This team has nobody willing to make a stand and say "We will NOT lose this game".

Not many teams with our talent level could blow a game on that kind of a stage, but this team is a special kind of soft. I thought maybe, just maybe, that would change this year, but it hasnt. Whether it is the players or the coaches influence on the players I don't know, but something MUST change, because the only thing keeping this team from being a bottom feeder is their talent level. A mediocre team with our attitude wins 3-6 games. We'll win 8-9 on talent alone, but once again be left wondering what could have been.

Sad but probably true. We need a coach who can fire up the players. We need someone in the middle of Cupcake and Tuna. Someone who fires the team up, praises players when they do good, but will chew their *** out when they screw up. Tuna was a hard *** who never wanted to give praise because he was scared they would drink the Kool-aid. Cupcake will not get on anyone's *** and has no accountability. We need a motivator like Jimmy was because this team lacks emotion.

Thats true but the Giants held them to 0. That being said I do believe the Giants are over rated though.
