Our defense plays very very solid the past two weeks, against two teams that either beat or did a heck of a job trying against good teams this week, and one bad game and Wade sucks and so is our defense. Yeah, the defense sucked today. And offense just about did their job (besides the running game,) but they put up enough points to likely warrant a win. The defense is what faltered I agree. But why is this a huge deal? The defense has to be accountable. That's true. I guarantee you they will be against the Chargers next week. And I'm not saying they're going to shut San Diego out, because they are a tough team with a very tough offense, but this will go down as just one of the bad days for the Dallas D. And yes, everybody has an off day sometimes.

Agreed.

Too many people bought into the whole "Giants are done" bit and now cannot handle the loss.

We lost to a division rival, on the road with their backs against the walk.

We are still in 1st place in the Division and control our own destiny.

Now, if we lose to San Diego next week, we are in some serious trouble.

Once again, we came up small when we needed it the most. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

...i think the 07 Cowboys would've won that game today...

...most teams have their backs against the wall this time of the year...that's why the good teams make it and the not-so-good ones don't...they had their backs against the wall last year in December...Dallas controlled its own destiny, right up until the team hit the field and got punched in the mouth by the Eagles...it's not hard envisioning a similar scenario in the final game this year...

...the Giants were'nt "done" they just needed a team of mental midgets to rebound against...

I feel sorry for you. Next week after we lose to SD you will be singing the same tune...........some people love being let down.

Uhmm.. Quick question. Can we both agree that the Giants game was eons more important than the upcoming Chargers game?

Not anymore! This "L" just puts the onus on the Philly & Wsh games...

Yeah I know. I was just speaking to the OP's attempt to somehow assert that this game was no biggie and we'll rebound next week against the Chargers.

We very well may rebound but this game was hugely important.

As a fan I would like to see consistency. The last two weeks weaker opponents, you have a chance to beat a good team a divisional game. Heading into the playoffs (hopefully) in the final month of the season, you want to be jelling.

The Giants will lose at least another game, and that will be enough to make them irrelevant in 2009.

I'm not saying it isn't a big loss, but we didn't NEED a win. Losing the game made next week more important. If we lose next week, we'll have big problems. But the season still won't be over. I don't count us out until we are out.

welcome to CZ

where half the idiots here don't even know what they're talking about :laugh2:

Yep. When was the last time Ware or Ratliff made a big play in the 4th quarter...or anyone for that matter...but they are the two best players on this defense.

They did hold Eli to 11/25 which was nice to see...but when its still for over 200 yards its a lot disappointing.

And some people love expecting doom. Next week after we beat SD, you'll still be in here whining, trying to "keep it real."

Or maybe they dont, they are winners with a killer instinct. It wouldnt surprise me a bit if they won out and made the playoffs over us.

It wouldn't surprise me if they don't.

What is disappointing is the 31 points surrendered. I know 7 came off the Barber fumble (indirectly) and 7 came off the punt return, but 31 points? The Giants O had been anemic of late and we go out there and perform like that? It makes me feel for Romo, Roy, Austin and Witten. They played their behinds off to no avail.
