I don't fault Bledsoe for last night's loss, but he did miss a wide open Jason Witten down the middle on that fourth down play he threw to Glenn short of the first down marker.

Really? I don't recall Witten was open. Glen dragged in behind Witten. Witten was used as a decoy to clear the middle but the D was on to the scheme and also they applied good pressure on Bledsoe on that play. Bledsoe really had to get rid of the ball.

I didn't see that play because I was driving home ( arggh!!) but Jason Witten was on 103.3 and Jen asked him if he was angry after that play as she say him talking animately or angrily on sidelines after that play.

Jason said he beat his guy, LB and was open. He didn't say anything about if he was angry or not etc.

They are ALWAYS open. I saw the play and replay. He wasn't. Skin had a open lane to Bledsoe.

Well, the read was Glenn if there was blitz apparently. What Witten said was that he didn't see the tape yet, but if there was a blitz on, then Terry Glenn was the right read, if not he was.

If you are saying there was a blitz on, i.e. from you comment about Skin had a open lane to bledsoe.

But I did see Bledsoe miss wide open Keyshaun couple of times at least in the game. It wasn't even close open, just plain wide open and he didn't even look at him, when he had time too.

On that play to Glenn the blitz was on and it was easy to see a defender coming around the corner right at Bledsoe before he released the pass. I also saw Witten man trip on that play but Bledsoe was already throwing the ball as that happened. I do agree Bledsoe misssed some passes, he did not miss many of them but he did miss a few.

I was there in the stands about ten rows down from Irvin, Emmit, and Aikman's names and i sweat ALL GAME! Just dripping. I cannot imagine what it was like for those players.

I was there, here's my take. Bledsoe kept trying to throw screens that went absolutely nowhere. Then he'd do it again, and again. I was pretty livid. Many times on those screen plays, Keyshawn was WIDE OPEN.

It's almost as if Bledsoe was ordered to not throw the deep ball and fall back on the screen (which we haven't been able to run effectively since Emmitt retired). I mean, the first couple times was understandable, you want to see if the possibility of using the screen is there and maybe open up the deep ball. But after about the sixth or seventh screen, you have to wonder what in the hell the playcallers are thinking.

There were not 7 screens last night. He did not throw them again and again.
One does not usually choose to go to a screen. Since the idea is to draw in the D the line performs an orchestrated fake. Bledsoe doesn't "keep trying" to run a screen. I think perhaps you may be confused as to what a screen is.
Maybe you're thinking of a class of short passes called "dump offs" or passes "underneath"

If Keyshawn was "wide open" many times on the screens it wouldn't matter because screens are primary plays. They are run like run plays, rarely does a QB get to exercise a choice.

But keep trying though, there's got to be a way you can pin this loss on Bledsoe.

Dude, shut up and get a clue. This post was a little more vulgar but you aren't worth it, because you're just some know it all who wants to start some static on a message board with someone you don't know.

I know what a screen is and I understand the game of football. I'll concede I shouldn't have labeled all the dump offs and 2 yard dink passes as screens, but this team should never call a screen play, period. It's glaringly obvious that the Cowboys don't know how to execute a screen.

There were opportunities for the team downfield, and for whatever reason they were not taken advantage of. Let's just say the playcalling was entirely too conservative on offense, and nobody is blaming Bledsoe (unless you're stupid enough to think he calls the plays, and maybe you are)
