Well it is like Earl Weaver asked an ump if he can throw him out for thinking. The ump said no so Weaver said "Well then, I think you suck." That's where we are.

The Cowboys are a dysfunctional organization in the 21st century. Everything has to fall just right for a successful season, and even then it ends in failure.

When things aren't "just right", you get a debacle. There's no Captain to steady this ship.

This is a very young team, normally that would mean they will learn and get better.

I still have some (repeat some) hope as the year goes on it will improve. You saw today defensive breakdowns that led directly to 2 Seattle tds. TWO. Add Gregory's absolutely stupid penalty, terrible o-line blocking (I'm talking Collins and Williams specifically) and AT LEAST 5 dropped passes, Elliot's brain farts with the sideline (playing football for 10 years and you can't stay on a 53 yard wide field?) and the ball bouncing Seattle's way at least twice and it was overall one of the worst games I've ever seen the Cowboys play.

Those things can either be fixed or by the law of averages will go the other way.

I just don't see the coaches know how to fix the wrong things. Maybe, Richard is putting his system in, going to be a learning curve there. Williams needs to get stronger and learn the guard position, and he possibly can.

But this year is going to be a learning year, I don't expect dramatic improvement, slow AT BEST is my hope.

Not that I expect it, just hoping, that's all I have left...

Aside from the defensive uptick, this team is roughly what I expected. The FO and staff is about the only ones who don't see this offense as a rebuild yr. They were selling "magic beans" that this squad could not just win, but compete for the division. The Oline is struggling, but let's be honest a run zone scheme REQUIRES a QB to be mobile or at the very least have a quick read/release because pass protection is not its strong suit, which is how Romo got injured so often late in his career with what was certainly a better OL then now. Aside from the Beard injury, damn near all of it is self inflicted. That falls on the coaching staff to correct, which has also been proven not to be a strong suit

Ouch.

Sounds accurate.

40 years I've been a fan. Thank goodness I'd witnessed great football in the 70s and great football in the 90s. I feel bad for any Cowboys fan in their 20s.

I think the Pokes basically have two offensive plays: 1) Zeke off-tackle run and 2) Short pass across the middle to a falling receiver.

This is what a team looks like with an incompetent HC and OC.
Well they are but.......Stephen is the real HC and he told them earlier in the week he didnt want the rpo plays and dak running the ball.
he said it on the radio, it was here in the fan zone, so what we saw today was them not using what worked last week,
because they dont want to make stevie mad.

There is no other reason they would just stop after last week, they are dumb , but not that dumb.
JG coaches not to win but to keep stephen and jerry happy and keep his job, he will do whatever he is told.
Linehan has to do what he is told too or look for another job.

Now me I would have used rpo, and ran dak about 20 times, and if they want to fire me then fire me,
but these 2 will just say yes sir boss.

When Romo left he took the offense with him. That's really about the bottom line.

And why is there an ad for finding Russian single women at the bottom of my screen?

I really don't.

Here's an idea .......We have no offense as our QB STINKS.....you used to boot me from the old boys site (as a moderator) for questioning Dak's abilities but redemption has come home KSKBOYS ....... and its a fact that even little children know that Dak is NOT or will ever be a Franchise QB!

P.S. He's not getting better in fact he's getting worse!

To bad you aren't a moderator here as you would probably boot 90% of the members as being whats your favorite words here hmmmm.....Dak-Haters..... !

Your time selling your ultimate football knowledge (as you always stressed how inept our football knowledge was) to us the low grade masses has come to a end!!!!!

What you should be thinking is to trust your gut.

Your gut told you that when you lose your receiving playmakers, you can't replace them by just "spreading it around".

Your gut told you that a 'group' or 'corps' of JAG receivers don't become competitive just because you call them a 'committee'.

Your gut told you that "offense is the best defense" and "Zeke is our best defensive player" were BS.

Your gut told you that you can't neglect to fill the holes on your defense and receiving corps and rely on being competitive in today's NFL exclusively with a power running game.

Your gut told you that even if you could power run your way to some success, it's an unsustainable house of cards when you have no depth on the offensive line.

I really don't.
Seattle knew Daks cadence - no adjustment
Dak is unable to function under duress - can't be a winner in the NFL
Critical errors on the field- poor preparation
Too predictable - poor coaching
This team looks like they sit in a hot tub all week. Very bad showing yesterday. They wont be going anywhere with Garrett and Dak the antithesis of Belichick and Brady.

its not just JG, every coach since Johnson has been doing what Jerry (and now Stephen) asked him. every single one of them. that's the problem.

with that said, Jerry worries about fans and franchise value and fans perception. he will react to that as he always has. if things don't get better, he will fire JG mid season. the problem is he doesn't have an OC that he trusts that he can insert. if he fires JG, he would still have to deal with Linehan.

well it is stephen who is in charge now not jerry.
Stephen is why JG is still here, him and JG go way back to the 90's, they hung out together and were friends back then.
Stephen is the new jerry.
