Ouch. The Cowboys are a dysfunctional organization in the 21st century. Everything has to fall just right for a successful season, and even then it ends in failure.
When things aren't "just right", you get a debacle. There's no Captain to steady this ship.
Well they are but.......Stephen is the real HC and he told them earlier in the week he didnt want the rpo plays and dak running the ball. This is what a team looks like with an incompetent HC and OC.
We've seen what our OC would be with a competent QB. Pretty goodI would be very interested in seeing what Dak would be w/ a competent OC.
I really don't.
Seattle knew Daks cadence - no adjustmentI really don't.
its really simple
bad coaching,
bad QB
Bad WR
Bad TE
Bad OL
bad preparation
its not just JG, every coach since Johnson has been doing what Jerry (and now Stephen) asked him. every single one of them. that's the problem.Well they are but.......Stephen is the real HC and he told them earlier in the week he didnt want the rpo plays and dak running the ball.
he said it on the radio, it was here in the fan zone, so what we saw today was them not using what worked last week,
because they dont want to make stevie mad.
There is no other reason they would just stop after last week, they are dumb , but not that dumb.
JG coaches not to win but to keep stephen and jerry happy and keep his job, he will do whatever he is told.
Linehan has to do what he is told too or look for another job.
Now me I would have used rpo, and ran dak about 20 times, and if they want to fire me then fire me,
but these 2 will just say yes sir boss.
the most passing yards came when it didn't matter, and seattle was playing prevent defense.Running wasn't the problem...4.94 yds/attempt WAS. Even with 166 yds total rushing, the passing game was FAR too anemic and pedestrian to make the grade.
well it is stephen who is in charge now not jerry.its not just JG, every coach since Johnson has been doing what Jerry (and now Stephen) asked him. every single one of them. that's the problem.
with that said, Jerry worries about fans and franchise value and fans perception. he will react to that as he always has. if things don't get better, he will fire JG mid season. the problem is he doesn't have an OC that he trusts that he can insert. if he fires JG, he would still have to deal with Linehan.
Actually, this is what any team looks like with an incompetent QB.
how do you know they hung out and were friends? seriously....Stephen is the new jerry, except he has grown up managing the cap and money and he doesn't spend like his dadwell it is stephen who is in charge now not jerry.
Stephen is why JG is still here, him and JG go way back to the 90's, they hung out together and were friends back then.
Stephen is the new jerry.
