I don't think an athlete has a ever divided a fanbase quite like Tony Romo

It's crazy how much in-fighting he has caused between us.

im a romo supporter til the end. i realize how painful it was from 2001-week 6 of 2006.

without him, we are a 2-5 win team. we have no defense, inept coaches, and a GM/Owner who is a moron. its sad that he didnt get the win today, but i blame that horrific defense 100%.

50% agree with you, 50% disagree. romo is a lighting rod. never seen anything like it. he has caused a severe split in the fanbase.

He played lights out and kept the team in the game, but once again when it mattered he faltered. What a shame

hes a good qb, he just doesnt get help from his coaching staff. If he was left alone hed probably be alright. Maybe if the team stop listening to Garrett and played football we can all be excited.

Let me ask another question, how are the Eli supporters doing? Eli better than Romo?

I think where the divide comes from is it depend son your age. I'm mid 20's so my memory of this organization is the era after the triplets. I remember fondly the Anthony Wright's, Clint Stoerner's, Ryan Leaf's, Quincy Carter's, Drew Henson's, Chad Hutchinson's, etc. I remember Aikman at the end of his career. I think people in my age group can sort of appreciate how bad things can get and can appreciate what Romo does for this team. I think the older fanbases who grew up watching Staubach, Aikman and even White to an extent have a certain expectation for what a quarterback should be and don't get it from Romo.

lets not make it sound like we've won 3 super bowls since 2006.

we have had MUCH better qb play, you may not remember and thats ok, but compared to what it was. YES, thats a big upgrade. Lets keep that in perspective.

He definitely is the most polarizing player in the NFL. Some of the criticism is legit and warranted, but most of it is just ignorant nonsense spewed from uneducated NFL fans. Some fans like myself feel the need to support/defend (RomoStans) the dude because he receives so much B.S criticism, it's really quite sad. There's plenty of examples to back up this, I mean look around CZ.

You have people here blaming that lose against Denver on Romo, when really he's the only reason we were competitive against the best team in the NFL. Sure we can blame this lose on Romo, we also could blame it on Dez for his fumble, but that would foolish because they did more than enough on Offense to pull out the W.

I disagree. I got one better. A-Rod. I am a Red Sox fan and live in the Northeast and I listen to Yankees fans daily vehemently debate this guy. Not so much now that he's disgraced himself but from the time he got to NY until about 2011.

No, he's not even nearly as bad as Q was IMO. That was the worst I have seen.

Of course I remember. But speaking of perspective, lets also keep this in perspective...Romo has won as many playoff games for Dallas as Steve Beulein did.
