He didn't but the side judge blew the play dead when he thuoght (WRONGLY) that the foot touched out of bounds. The whistle blew, and although the play went to a booth review, noting could be overturned because of that whistle. Hey, it's pre-season for the refs too.

It happens to every team. If you want to win a Super Bowl in this legue, I always say, "You've got to beat the refs!" what that means is beating your opponent so soundly that no matter how badly the refs screw you it won't change the victory outcome of your game.

Couldn't tell if he was in or not, though it looked like he went out to me. Either way the spot was wrong. If he went out it was either 2 yards back (most likely), or 3 yards forward of where they spotted it.

He was in, but the Cowboys beat he refs anayways, and that's the significance of that game. The Cowboys were down when the bad call happened, robing them of a TD, yet they still kept their composure and made the FG to win the game.

This is the truth, I coach debate and we say the same thing -- gotta beat your opponents so bad that no matter what the judges predispositions they know you won. If you leave it close, its your fault for giving the referees the opportunity to ruin your game. When you start blaming refs, you stop blaming yourself and you start that slide back into mediocrity.
