From what I see worst case scenario: Curtis Samuel. Best case scenario: Zay Flowers. Emeka Egbuka is a safe bet to be on par with JSN. JSN was drafted before Flowers and is slightly better than him as a pro.

I like Egbuka better at this point as well. He's risen a bit for me.

I've never been high on Burden as a round 1 guy. Tbh how differently would this team use him from Turpin anyways? That's not really the prospect's fault but Burden isn't the level of athlete someone like Jameson Williams is to excite me with his lack of size and production.

watched like 3 minutes of film just now...love the kids ability...there is something there.

does he block? how did he do against stronger schools.

its impossible to say the kid doesnt have a feel for the game, he doesnt look undersized even though i saw highlights of him playing against guys that looked way smaller than they should.

Don’t get it either. Feels like a player that should go 25-35, but he’s getting pushed up just because there isn’t a clear cut 2nd best WR in this class.
I don’t care who is currently on the roster…if I’m drafting a WR at #12 it better be someone with clear cut #1 WR potential. And I don’t see that with Burden. Don’t get me wrong, I think he has the potential to be a solid #2, but no thanks to that with a premium high 1st round pick.

Plus I think he operates best in the same space as Ceedee.

Wait until round two see if Matthew Golden out of UT is available , line up opposite Lamb with Tolbert in the slot .

Having a plan is cool, but like Tyson or whomever said "having a plan is nice until you get punched in the face"

work your miracles...im sure you have back up plans.

what is the back up if you lose out on both these guys?

'best player on your board'

i get that everyone just refers to "im going with my board"....just seems like a cop out a little to me.

To me, Burden comps with Kadarius Toney sans the mental midget aspect.

You must be 3 years removed from high school to enter the NFL.

So he can declare after two more seasons

im not looking it up...i find it hard to believe...but things move to screw you over these days...

is this because of players getting paid now? or do college players not get paid and i am being played?

Zuckerberg and the tech giants say they are removing fact checking...what is real and what isnt.

anyway...this kid should be top of draft...this year if he is so special

The NFL's requirement for players to wait three years after graduating high school before being eligible for the draft is primarily due to the physical and developmental demands of the sport. Here are some key reasons for this policy:

  1. Physical Maturity: Football is a physically demanding sport that requires a high level of physical maturity. The three-year waiting period allows players to develop physically and mentally, ensuring they are better prepared to handle the rigors of professional play.
  2. College Experience: The NFL encourages players to compete at the collegiate level, which provides valuable experience and exposure. College football not only helps players refine their skills but also enhances their understanding of the game. It acts as a developmental league for the NFL.
  3. Injury Risks: The risk of injury in football is significant, and the NFL aims to protect younger athletes from the dangers of jumping directly into a high-impact professional environment without adequate preparation.

I assumed it had something to do with college players getting paid now...and that could be a lie...i cant verify anything...

i dont see why this OHIO state kid couldnt be in the NFL right now...

i dont even know about rules anymore...everything changes to screw you over...so I dont know what is true and what isnt. all yall can tell me something to create and illusion.

its sad really.

Not trying to hijack ya thread but just came across this

Burden doesn't do it for me either but I don't see a DT I wan't at 12 but there should be something there in round 2-3. Rounds 2-3 need to focus on defensive and offensive fronts.

Big time burst, twitchy athlete, elite YAC and produced in the SEC.

Like most prospects will need some refinement in expanding his route tree but with a decent OC could be an impact player year 1.

That’s an interesting one! I kind of like
it but I’d say Burden is a much better prospect than Toney was…I feel like Toney’s scouting report basically read gadget player if I remember correctly.

Burden has the defenders closest to him on side-eye at all times...because dude is looking to make a play after the catch.

look how he puts his back to the defender but has his head tilted checking out the spacing....he is baiting the dfender into getting on skates.

cool skill to have if you have the athleticism and explosiveness and vision to do something after the catch. not saying he will pan out, i think it is a skill all WR's should employ.

but...just because he has some bait and shake to his catch and post catch....doesnt mean he will work out in the NFL. do love the excitement he pops on the screen.
