I dont understand the logic...

Im seeing everybody hate on the draft we had today but i don't get it. At the end of the day we gave up a 3 and a 5 for an early first round draft choice next year.(Considering the Browns don't pull out a miracle) We pick up Anthony Spencer who from what i hear is a pretty solid player,(possibly Defensive Rookie of the Year canidate), and a tackle which has started 38 games career. Flozell will be gone next year and we need a replacement. Whats wrong with that? We didnt have any really strong needs following our free agent signings so what do u expect? Also, wade phillips needs more pass rushers in order for his defense to be successful. And by the way, a buddy of mine plays Wideout for Purdue and claims Spencer is a complete freak out there so i dont understand the complaints.......Look on the bright side....At least we didnt do what Philly did........:laugh2:

I disagree with great draft. But I think we had a solid draft and a smart draft so far. We have filled some needs and put in some depth. Hopefully we can find some players in the 2nd day that can make the team.

Actually, we didn't give up a 5th round pick. We moved our 5th rounder up into the top of the 4th round.

Any time you get the guy you were originally targeting anyway but add a future 1st round pick from a team who is likely to suck it's automatically a GREAT DRAFT...

no matter what you do with the remainder.

The name of the game is getting to the QB, period. We draft a beast DE and get a top 10 draft pick next year. If your not happy with that, you dont know the game.
