In regard to Brown....be realistic. We have the top 3 and that isn't changing. Turpin is probably #4 because of his job returning kicks and punts. Spot 5 is up for grabs easily and that is assuming they don't keep 6. They aren't gonna keep MVS over Brown. Mingo? Probably not. He is in the last year of his contract with no guaranteed money. Keep the younger guy with upside. No one else has splashed to Brown's level. I think he is a lock for WR 5.

Brown did more in that one play than Mingo has done in years. It’s time Jerry takes the L on the Mingo trade and keeps Brown and his 1 spectacular 1 handed catch and his other contested TD catch.

For me, I think our defence looked much better than during the preseason last year.....and that was against depth pieces on a team that just won the SB. Well done!!!!

Also, I think Camden Brown may have won a roster spot. Question is, who is going to have to make way and what can we get for that player?

I think what he was doing on returns is a reflection of what he was being coached to do. Instead of setting up returns, I think Sorenson just gave Turpin the green light to choose where he wanted to go, so Turpin would slow-play it looking for a hole. Hopefully this year, we'll want him to be more decisive as soon as he fields the ball, but considering that we retained the ST coach, I'm not sure we should expect any change.

I don't think how Turpin was doing the returns had anything to do with reserving his energy for receiver, though. He's a Pro Bowl returner and I think the coach just gave him too much slack and not enough direction.
