With our schedule that's going to be about it and that puts us around 5-12 or 6-11.

Problem is there are a bunch of crap teams this year so even that might push us out of the top 5.

McCarthy is gone after the season. We only have 32 players under contract for 2025 and around 29 million in cap. We need to use our top pick on a QB and build for the future. We haven't drafted a first round QB since Aikman in 1989. The problem with that is you need to be able to win with a QB on their rookie contract and you can't pay Dak 260 million to hold a clipboard. We are screwed.

Dak is regressing at an a accelerated pace now, we have a really bad offensive line and our best player Martin is about to retire. The young guys may develop but right now it looks like our picks on the oline are busts. CD is a very good WR but mentally the guy is very questionable and opposite him we don't have a real playmaker. Ferguson is an average TE at best he only had recognition because he wears a star. We have no running back talent and behind this line it wouldn't matter anyway.

The defense is pure garbage. We gave Diggs the bag and he's mailed it in. Lawrence is probably ready to retire We have zero talent at DT. The entire defensive line needs to be upgraded badly. Parsons is due for a record contract and we all know he isn't worth it. He's a luxury we can't afford on this team. We could trade him for a draft haul but that's not how Jerry rolls so he will get paid furthering our decline.

We are in trouble, the kind of trouble that can see us scrapping the bottom of the league for the next 3 to 4 years. I don't see a way out of it.

We could have let Dak walk, traded Lamb and Parsons for picks, let Lance play and see what he's got and it wouldn't have been any worse than what this season has been anyway. I hate this team.

You said it we are in trouble as far as this year goes, but it can be an opportunity moving forward if done right. Let's face it, we need to basically rebuild next year and to do that we need to let a few big names go, draft successfully and make some good trades for players and draft picks. I agree it's time to start looking for a Dak replacement from the draft also, whether it's a high value draft pick out of the top 10 or someone scouted that has great potential late in the first or in the second round.

I honestly don't see where those two to three wins come from. The Giants and Panthers are maybes. But, both of those teams are looking at Dallas on their schedule and saying the Cowboys are SWEET!

Every other team is better than Dallas top to bottom roster-wise. So, 3-14 is a real possibility.

I consider myself to be a Dak supporter, but there was no benefit to signing him before this season. Wait to see how he performed this year and then make your decision. We did screw that up, because we could then have moved on or signed him for a lot less.

He’s not better than Tyler Smith and I honestly feel like Beebe is a better center than he is guard at this point. Steele and Guyton can just go and I’d trade Martin before people find out he’s not good anymore.

Yes agreed, I was thinking he must be chalking up wins against the Giants and Panthers. Not sure who he sees as the 3rd W - Philly or Was? Not so sure about the first two anymore really, lol. Panthers just beat the Saints who embarrassed the Cowboys on their home turf earlier this season.
