I got a gripe and figure you guys have already thought this

So mygripe is that in retrospect we screwed up letting Wilson go to KC and Byron Jones leave for Miami
Which means we are now desperate for a good a LBer since Lee and Wolf Hunter and Jaylon Smith each have their issues now plus now CB is an essential fix for us to improve on to get better. Jones was a premier CB when we had him. Should have paid him and cut Amari and Zeke contracts and resigned him. Then we would not be considering another top 10 pick to maybe draft one now. Just seems a little less than. Visionary. This staff and the guys running the show need to improve this. It just gets monotonous. I find it hard to believe we will use this draft to fix all our problems to return to winning.

I thought our second round pick last year was an upgrade to Jones and a lot cheaper. It wouldn't take a first on a CB to replace Awuzie but with the Eagles set to use a first round pick on a WR and the WFT and Giants added good WRs in FA so why not. If they don't think Smith and LVE are long term answers draft Bolton in the second. The root of the problem is two fold, we haven't drafted that well on defense (Taco, LVE, Jaylon) and secondly the majority of our salary cap is tied up on the offense so we can't afford to spen $10 million APY on a CB. I saw a statistic the other day that we're 31st in the league in salary cap allocation towards the defensive.

Every team loses players in Free agency and then has to replace them.

Every team looks at a first round cornerback as a good investment.

Frankly this is the type of post that should be somewhere else. In the Draft Zone we talk about prospects, where they should go and if Dallas can and should be able to draft them. We really don’t come in here to complain about the team. That is everywhere in the fan zone. Here people don’t really fight and get upset about the team as much as enjoy the draft process.
