I along with many others got our wish today and they finally yanked Al Johnson. While Gurode did mess up on the first play in the 3rd quarter he was rock solid the rest of the game. He held the center of the pocket perfectly and Bledsoe was able to step up. The running game was improved too I saw holes that I have not seen all year.

With Gurode in there I like our chances down the road but with Al in there our season is over.

Another note this thing is not over the Giants make a lot of mistakes guys and they have a tough schedule coming up.

P.S. All you Al Johnson lovers time to eat crow cause it is now proven he sucks. Parcells yanked him I hope it is farkin official. Time to sign or draft a C in the offseason and we will be looking good.

I also like Gurode in there, but it's funny how you just pass his first play off like it was no big deal.

It was the game winner and it was a big deal but everyone makes mistakes. I respect a player more from overcoming adversity and Gurode did in my book.

We would of never even scored with Al Johnson in there.

unlike Bledso who was swimming in adversity today, Gurode is part of the o-line, and until the o-line does their damn job, none of them deserve any credit

Do you really know that little about football????

The reason that there was less inside pressure in the second half is due to Gurode's "Ole for 7". The Giants went up 17-0 and started dropping 8 into coverage realizing that they could still generate sufficient pressure from both ends.

they still managed pressure...

this whole line needs to be revamped except LA and flo...maybe pettiti his play next year will be crucial for his career

Before you say that, go back and watch the last few games again. Allen is the weak link on this line right now (and that really saying something).

When you do, you'll see Allen knocking people around when he actually touches someone, but more often that not you'll see Allen standing next to the ball carrier on the ground not touching anyone.

I think Gurode looked good, aside from his obvious mistake.

Still, I think the Oline'll stink no matter which centre you plug in there

i'm not sure how the transition would go for johnson, but what about trying him at guard? he apparently can't do well against the big nose guards so that may not be the best place for him, but i don't think we should get rid of him, he's not the center we need until he puts on some more muscle cause he gets manhandled way too often.. he's a very talented player just not capable of taking on a 320+ defensive lineman

We need to upgrade the play of the center position this offseason. It doesn't appear Johnson or Gurode is the long term answer. Wishing for one to play over another is like wishing to be shot in the left arm instead of the right one.

You mean the one that in reality cost us a shot at over time in a what could have been a 10-10 game? That one little ole play?

And what freaking game were you watching? Nothing the o-line did today was remotely close to perfect!

And I guess it means nothing that Al just had surgery last week.

And the Giants defense would never have scored as well

They had 10 points and Bledsoe should of never tried to hand the ball off to begin with.

He was in before the end of the half so that td wasn't his first play of the game.

I disagree and what does my football knowledge have to do with the fact that Al Johnson couldnt hold a piece of tissue paper? My football knowledge does however show that when Al is in there he is getting pushed back while Gurode on the other hand is holding his ground and pushing the opposition back. To add to it Rivera and Allen look alot better when Gurode is in there as well. They went to the outside blitz because they could no longer get inside penetration.

I call em like I see em am I right or wrong let the other guys decide...

Give me a break man all your previous post are thrown out the window on that one.
