Amazing what the giants have done with a qb with a 54% completions.

A 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and 5th round pick were definitely not worth a Super Bowl win.
We in Dallas all know how easy it is to find a QB, even a bus driving one for that matter. How long was it between Aikman and Romo.
How well did Vinny and Bledsoe do? Not to mention Carter and the likes. Nope. 3 picks definitely not worth a Super Bowl. You win Bob...you win.

Jay-D said:I don't see why that should cause you to project your homosexual tendencies onto anybody else.....what with all this talk about oral sex and anal stuff in your signature.
Bob Sacamano;1940626 said:did we have a D like the Giants? one that made it hellish for an opposing QB
guess which team had that today?
do you really think that Eli was the better QB, or that it was the Giant D who was a bit more disruptive tonight?
in Eli's own mind, which I'm sure you wish you were in
my sig is a joke, do you know what glaucoma is?
if you did, then you would get that there's nothing sexual about it at all
and I'm not worried about my sexuality, but thanks for inquiring
gbrittain;1940702 said:You are just being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn now.
First of all you assume that bus drivers are easily found. How well did that theory work for Dallas?
gbrittain said:Would you or would you not give up a 1st round, 3rd round and 5th round for a Super Bowl right now?
Bob Sacamano;1940713 said:I told you why that didn't work out for Dallas, they didn't have a team for the QB to drive
you're the one being stubborn, taking an unimpressive stretch of performances and saying that puts an end to whether or not Eli is a bust or not
is he a bust? no, was he worth the investment? nope either
I'd give my heart and lungs for a Super Bowl
but the fact of the matter is, Eli still hasn't lived up to the investment IMO
gbrittain;1940751 said:How can you say he is not worth the investment? Call it what you will but throughout the playoffs this season he only threw one INT, and that one was not his fault.
gbrittain said:He was not perfect never said he was. Never said he is the next great thing. Nope not that either. The Giants parlayed a 1st, 3rd and 5th into a QB who was good enough to not screw it up as you say.
gbrittain said:The Giants defense as good as they were, let the Patriots take the lead with a 2:40 something left in the game.
gbrittain said:Somebody had to come in there and lead the team down for a TD or that great Giants defensive effort you keep talking about means absolutely nothing.
Jay-D;1940828 said:Bobby....Eli played a great, great game. He just won the freaking Super Bowl against a team many consider to be the best EVER.
Jay-D said:That play on the last drive where he escaped the sacks will go down in history and you are gonna see it over and over again for the rest of your life. Let that sink in.
Jay-D said:Take your Eli pill, man. I know it's hard to swallow but you need to take it. The dude played a great game today.
Bob Sacamano;1940784 said:the Giants simplified the game-plan for him, you don't do that for your franchise QB
so that's what it takes to get a QB who can do that much
a 3-point lead, they let them score 14 points, that was probably less than what New England averaged a quarter
lol, if Tyree doesn't catch that prayer, the game is probably done
the Giant D played way above expectations, Eli did not, this was his level, solid, yet unspectacular throughout the postseason, Giant D won the day
gbrittain;1940890 said:Funny how you talk about the great catch Tyree made, but no mention of the fact that Eli did an amazing job of avoiding a sure sack.
gbrittain said:Regardless, all the things you are talking about are not even relevant. We all know that a football team is a complex puzzle with the QB being right at the top when it comes to important pieces.
gbrittain said:The Giants gave up what they gave up to get Eli and Eli did a very solid job throughout the playoffs which ultimately led to a Lombardi.
gbrittain said:All your spin is just that. I am sure right now the Giants are lamenting that they gave up a 1st, 3rd, and 5th round pick for Eli right now as we speak.
Bob Sacamano;1940910 said:dude ran for his life and threw up a duck
takeaway the Giant D, say they play an average game, do the GIant's win? I don't see how that is irrelevent
you attributing the win to Eli because he was the QB, is laughable
but my point is that they didn't need to spend a 1st, 3rd and 5th on a QB who can drive the bus
it's not about lamenting the decision, it's about being worth it, I don't think it is, you don't need to go to extreme lengths and attribute an argument to me
we have disagreed on many issues when it comes to QB, you think 1st round picks there are needed to win Super Bowls, I feel that the QB you select, and how he's coached and developed are more important, it's whatever
that's it, I'm done talking about Elisha and the Gspots, I'm looking to what the Cowboys are going to do
