I thought we won, against a Division rival, and had an impressive showing by the entire offense.

That mean I'm happy we gave up 35 points? Not by any wild stretch of the imagination. I just don't understand why some people want to be a forum PITA.

hey, at least we won, and that the post-game reaction isn't as horrible as it could potentially be if we lost

I'll take a win + *****ing any day of the week ;)

If I hadn't watched the game or seen the score, and I just read this board after the game, I would think we got creamed.

I'm thrilled we won...but man...the awful defense and the injury situation is depressing

we really need Newman back 100% soon...we could use Ellis too, though I am less hopeful on him

I'm shocked the way our O played, and I'm shocked the way our D played. This game was a shocker!:)

I am happy.

I have confidence that Wade will get the D straightened out.

But I am super-psyched by the fact that with the No. 1 Offense in the league after week 1, we at least know that our rookie O-coordinator knows what he is doing!

cause the D was UG LEEEEE

and people want to continue to make a case for "their player" vs be happy "the team" did well.

We won, but the fans also know that one game does not make a season. We will not be playing the Giants all season, and we will not always put up 45 points every week.

After watching our defense fold up at the end of last season, we're a little worried at having given up 35 points opening day after having the staff and players tell us the defense would be "unleashed" this year.

Yet, we saw no significant increase in pressure, horrible coverage, missed tackles, people playing out of position, miscommunication, a lack of intensity.

I'd say that is ground to be worried for a team that isn't just aspiring to "make the playoffs", but to actually win the Superbowl.

if our D doesnt get healthy and start to perform we arent gonna go real far. yes we would probably make the playoffs but in the playoffs defense always wins. and it would only be another 1st rd exit which we are absolutely tired of...

Does anyone here not think getting those back will help?

I hate injuries, and I hate using backups I have no faith in. But I saw a team step up, take a few and still win by double digits. Then I see fans acting like we lost. I want to tell them all to shut the hell up. So I figured I'd start my own gripe thread and gripe about the true annoying thing today...them.

Man I agree with you. I'm happy we won and the offense was outstanding. Our D will be fine. Plax scored 3 TD's on Reeves and you know that doesn't happen with TNew out there. The Giants took advantage of Reeves and they were suppose too but that damn sure isn't gonna happen when TNew gets back. Thats the only way the Giants stayed in the game. We did fine with MAJOR starters out of the lineup. TNew, Fergy, TG, and Ellis... Our D will be fine.

Very happy we won this barnburner and very happy that Romo is well on his way to earning that extension. The defense was so shockingly bad--right from the get go --that it leaves an appalling aftertaste. That's the big worry.

Funny how one win doesn't make a season but one bad game by the D does.

Does it hurt?

Yea, i will never understand how so many so called fans can be unhappy about a victory against a good team like the Giants. Of course you wish the score was 45-3 but hell, both defenses were gassed. I am happy with this win, it was huge and seeing 50 threads about how we suck, that is expected here. This place has lots of negative posters.

Spit it out somewhere else. Is that too much to ask?

The defense will get better especially when we get Newman back and are able to roll coverage Henry's way.

Roy Williams played his worst overall game as a Cowboy I think today.

Offense and Defense can both get better.

For a timing based offense it was really good in its debut.

Defense would have got lit up just as bad in the Parcells 3-4 but at least we attacked. It will get better. But we saw aggresiveness and I love it.

Things will get better guys we just need to stay away from these stinkin injuries.
