I guess this is what you do when you have no $$ to spend on FA?

IRVING, Texas – Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones stopped in Canton, Ohio, on Tuesday to tour the Pro Football Hall of Fame after meeting with Hall of Fame board members and senior management to review major elements of the Hall’s strategic plan for the future.

Jones, who chairs the league’s Hall of Fame committee and serves on the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Board of Trustees, spoke with board members about the completion of the largest-ever expansion and renovation of the Hall of Fame facilities, as well as promoting the Hall of Fame’s 50th Anniversary and discussing plans for increasing national media coverage of the annual enshrinement activities and enshrinee selection.

The Cowboys’ owner will return in August for the Hall of Fame’s Annual Board of Trustees meeting and to present Class of 2013 enshrinee Larry Allen.

Well that, plus Stephen Jones plays a pretty big role when it comes to speaking with players & their agents.

Jerry is "darned" if he does, "darned" if he doesn't.

Your probably right. I should lay off of him for a while. I have been pretty rough on him.

Didn't mean to pick on you. He gets hammered both ways though. If he signs high priced guys he's putting us in future cap hell. If he doesn't do anything or goes the cheap route on free agents he's an idiot for getting 2nd rate talent.

The rest of the front office tricked Jerry to go so he would not freak out having no cash for FA!

Other than the Bolden signing I don't see any free agents out there who are going to play a major role in getting their teams to the next level.

Looks like San Fran will win at least 2 of the next 3 Super Bowls with a young buck in the saddle.

I am happy Jerry isn't out there blowing his wad on useless free agents.

the thing that surprises me is that a lot of folks are touting SF and Seattle as perennial super bowl powerhouse but there is another variable. There Qbs have had one good season, that does not mean they will be as good next year when the rest of the league catches up and has film on them. A lot of people say don't pay Spencer cuz he had one really good year but are ready to anoint the Qbs of seattle and Sf after one good year. That logic makes no sense to me.:bang2:
