I had a dream last night that we traded Ware, Ratliff, and Austin to the Bengals for their next 3 years of draft picks.

Would you do it? Pretty sure I would.

nope. maybe if we just came off a 5-11 season. we have a chance to win now so it would be stupid to get rid of our 2 best defensive players who are well rounded veterans and the only wr we have that consistently made big plays last season.

tmi dude

Not a dream for me...it's so hard to hit on a guys like Ware, Ratliff and since they're still young, we need to continue to build around them. Austin has now come into his own, so I would not make a trade like that, I doubt many would. Now if you could get some interest in someone making a trade offer like the one you proposed for some other players, that might be a different story.

WHAT?!

You just gave up three of our best players, if not our three best (sans Romo), for three years of drafts picks?!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd assume those picks would be late picks since the current Bengals team won their division and you've just given them the top LB in football, the top NT in football, and a top 10 WR which are ALL in the PRIME of their careers.

There is no way I make that trade. You couldn't give me the next 6 years of Rams picks for those three to make me do that trade.

Wow this dude is clueless about football....now I feel bad for dogging Jamie Dukes all the time.

I wouldn't

I had a dream that we genetically combined the strength of all the greatest Cowboys to play OL and from which we cloned two specimans to play FS.

Would you do it?

I am a greedy Draft *****. The greediest of the greedy Draft ******.

This is not 1989 and we do not need to completely rebuild the roster. We're a tweak here and there away from being the best team in the NFL or so damn close we can see it.

Hell no I wouldn't do it and neither would anyone with a lick of sense. When you are this close you do not go backwards at full speed.

Not to be rude...but that may be the worst idea I have ever heard of w/regards to managing a football team. Here's a thought, if you have anymore of these dreams that include giving away HOFers in their prime, you should probably consider a diet change or something.

On one hand, absolutely not. That's 2 pro bowlers and a likely HOFer, none of which are TO-like headaches. Those are the kinds of players you're hoping to find, not trade away.

On the other hand, short of having a SB team, few things in the NFL hold my interest more than watching the building of a team through the draft. For those of you not old enough to have witnessed it, those Jimmy Johnson drafts and the weeks (and months) leading up to them in the early 90s with all the Herschel Walker picks were golden. There were no places like this to get info, and no espn.com or such place to get mock drafts, so you got magazines, watched sportscenter, and poured over your Dallas Cowboys Weekly until it was ready to fall apart. I enjoyed watching Jimmy load up on great young players almost as much as I enjoyed the Cowboys destroying the Bills in the Super Bowl.

But no, you just can't trade those guys away, especially Ware.
