This weekend there is no Cowboys. I mean I could look forward to my fantasy footballs matchups, but it is not the same.:thumbdo:

Just thought I'd share that.

But this is MUCH needed bye week, espicially with all the injurys.(Anthoney Henry, JJ)
This gives them time to rest, and recover.

My nerves need the break.
The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for me as I get re-charged for the 2nd half of the season. :)

I need a break from this roller coaster season. With the way the team has been playing ... winning or losing in the last second, my heart needs a rest.

This team also needs a rest. Julius, Henry, and any other dinged up players really need this break to get better so we can prepare for the 2nd half of this season.

It's not who's the fastest, but who can last the longest ... it's a marathon, not a sprint. We've done well ... could have done better and could have done worse. But the law of averages evens things out ... and we're 5-3. Could have been 8-0 ... could have been 2-6.

I'm gonna spend this weekend doing some much needed maintenance on the car. I haven't had a chance to do much since the season started ... maybe some PC shopping. Or maybe just take the convertible out for a spin ... and leave the wife and baby at home. ha ha

But I can take a weekend away from football. Makes it much fresher next week.

what really sucks is two sundays in a row without cowboys football.

Oh, but the glory of the MNF game. I love seeing them on MNF.

I'll be taking the much needed break to take my kids out of the house for the weekend and do something else on Sunday other than see who can scream 'GO COWBOYS!!!' the loudest...

I also hate the bye week , but it is much easier dealing with it after a convincing win....
Plus it will let me take a better look at our future opponents..

Time for some golf. . .

And my oldests football banquet is Sunday, Bye fell perfect for me. That is since they make us take it anyway.

I certainly agree it will be a long couple weeks for me.

I always find myself very relaxed just watching other games during our bye, and not worrying about whether i should put my doc on stand-by lol

For those of us on the east coast who work for a living, MNF goes too late. I like being part of a marquee matchup, but with the Cowboys it's not usually a relaxing experience. In fact, I'm often doing something like :bang2: whether they win or lose. It ends up being exhausting and bums the rest of my week if they lose.

I know, it's ridiculous to let a football game do that to me but I sometimes can't help myself.:

one always needs a break to mow the lawn one last time before winter, rake the leaves, pick the pecans, trim tree limbs...etc. etc.
