I stopped watching after that missed pass to Beasley thinking the Cowboys will lose the game.

This is the 2nd time I did this. The first time was when Romo came back in OT from that Buffalo game long ago.

Now I got onto nfl.com and realized the Cowboys won.

Boy, do I feel stupid. I hate myself.

Shame on you. You deserve to miss the great comeback for losing faith.

Don't feel sorry for ya, bro. If this team had the "quitter" ratio that the fan base had, we'd never win a game ever.

I used to do the same thing because I hated to lose. 3 words of advice. Record the game.

I didn't get to see the game because we had kids at the house carving pumpkins and they way I scream, cuss and yell during games wouldn't have made for a very child friendly environment. When I finally got a chance to check the score, it was around 10pm here, which meant the game should have been over.

I figured I'd just look at the score online. I look at the score and it says "Dallas 16 Phil 23....OT" So I say to myself, son-of-a-b****, we lost in OT. I started looking at the OT game thread to see what happened but people were still posting faster than I could read. Then I realized the game was still going on. Then my phone rang and my family says, "can you believe we won that?". Was I disappointed I missed it? yes. But the highlights WITHOUT the chest pains were just as good, especially after thinking we had already lost.....

Don't be too hard on yourself.....but twice is the limit.

I did it once.

The Cowboys were playing the San Fransisco 49ers in the playoffs. Roger Staubach had missed the entire season after being hurt in the preseason. The starter was Craig Morton.

The first three quarters was so painful, the 49ers jumped to a 28-13 lead after Morton had 3 turnovers in Cowboy territory. Landry decided to put Staubach in the game despite the fact that he hadn't played all year. I thought, that not even Roger could bring them back from this and I felt my thoughts were confirmed when he fumbled on his very first play. I left to go outside and take out my frustration with a neighborhood football game. it seems a lot of kids had the same idea as me,.

Anyway, as we are playing in an empty lot, we begin to hear simultaneous screams from many houses. That could mean only one thing:

Sure enough, the Cowboys came back halfway through the 4th quarter and rolled off 17 consecutive points that included 2 awesome TD passes by Roger, an onside kick by Toni Fritsch, and miraculous defense.

The Cowboys won 30-28 in the greatest comeback in Cowboy history....and it was a playoff game with Roger making his first appearance of the season.

It definitely didn't look good for a while. I was doing some serious pacing in the 4th and OT

I was right there with you. Thought we were loosing this game during the entire game...
Winners win and Dak proves to be a winner, kid just keeps pulling it off.

If you have direct tv, and recorded it (with the 30 minute extension) ...
The dang thing ends just as Dak takes the final snap!
I crashed at the half, and got up at 3am for work only to be hosed by my DVR.
I broke down and checked the score on my phone, but it wasn't the same.

If I was superstitious, I would say don't change ANYTHING. But since I'm not, I would suggest you grit your teeth & watch until the bitter end. I can pretty much guarantee you this year's team will never completely be out of any games they play. They fight for 60 full minutes. Just relentless.

LOL -- Well, maybe that served as a lesson that it's a mistake to give up on this year's crew. Even though things were going badly for a good while there, I couldn't help myself from staying on course and hoping for a miracle. Guess what -- it eventually happened. This appears to be a new era lately, whereby anything can happen, even when things seem pretty hopeless. It's somewhat reminiscent of the good old glory days, actually. It looks like Dak & Co. is highly capable of delivering miracle comebacks when you least expect it. Better stick around next time. ;)
