Ever since I started dating my wife in 1998 I have had to endure Thanksgiving dinner with her crappy family and agonizing Cowboy losses- 1998 against the Vikes, 2000 against the Vikes, 2001 against Denver, 2003 against Miami, and again today against Denver. :banghead:
We need to play the Skins every T-giving, at least one part of my day would be good.

Just thought I would share my own personal fresh hell.

I hate the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day tradition as well. Instead of relaxing and enjoying a wonderful holiday, I'm on edge waiting for the game to start. If they lose like they did today then the day is ruined and then I feel like I have nothing to be thankful for.

This is shameful, Thanksgiving isnt about football like the media would like it to be, it SHOULD be about family. I love Thanksgiving win or loss, today is especially hard because I cant be with my family on Thanksgiving......or my wifes......the military requires certain sacrifices, but I'm ok with that. Football is not life guys, and I hate to sound so cheesy but it kind of hits home for me this yera since I cant be at my home.....

I'm retired military. I KNOW what it's like being away from home for the holidays. So please don't try to preach to me. The Cowboys winning and losing is a big part of my life and if they lose it means a big deal to me. That's why I'd like to enjoy Thanksgiving without the stress of it being a game day. That is what Sundays are for. :)

It's really kind of weird. The average american enjoys this holiday very much without any negatives.

as a Cowboy fan there is always the possibility that this day becomes less enjoyable with a loss, especially like today.

I am thankful for the important things in life, Family, friends, health, freedom, and the blessings that God has bestowed upon us.

Kind of sad that a ball game can bring a damper on a day when we should be so happy.

Oh well, heres hoping for a good thanksgiving next year.
