I hate the front office so much I only watched Thanksgiving game last year.
it is a rarity that I could go from only wearing cowboy jerseys to school in TN in the 80s, buying all nfl packages, all-22, defending the franchise for decades to now being completely free.
to anyone who watches this mess, godspeed. this team will never win another playoff game as long as Jerry and his army of nepotistic midwits are here. I have had 30 years of precedent and now I can happily watch football as fan of the sport and not some hostage of nostalgia wishcasting for miracles.
nothing in this organization is a winner. Jerry , as admitted in the documentary, did it through risk, smoke and mirrors and fake it til you make it. The ego and the family is his top priorities - not the players, not his legacy, nor the fans.
the only thing Jerry knows is that 90% of you will never have a breaking point. you will always side with laundry and keep making him money. At 50, I am free. Ozzy's death was sad but natural ending of some material nostalgia. the Jones actively waterboarded me where the escape killed the Staubach, the triplets, Randy white, Dorsett fond memories. I literally dont feel any connection or recall any happiness the team ever gave me.
that said, I am relieved because my remaining years will never hold another thought or urging to check on this team. I hope they never win another game and every #1 pick fails. its petty, but if I can limit my schadenfreud to a petulant billionare and his ego toy... I can live with that
