Our secondary is very good don't get me wrong but Will Peterson formerly of the Giants is coming off a back injury and is trying to hop on with a contender. Now i say we give him a try out, a physical, and an interview if he passes all then we sign him up for a incentive laden deal. Peterson was a pretty good corner and would make a great 4 guy to step in incase of injury to Newman, Henry, Glenn, or Watkins.

plus he may wanna take out the gmen

Thoughts?

The Jints loved this player, and did not give up on him lightly. I think he got a pretty big contract in 04 and they took a sizable cap hit on him when they were forced to release him..

They did not want to cut him...his back injury was assessed as career ending.

Maybe he can make a comeback, and the Marc Columbo story reminds us that in time, many serious injuries can be rebounded from.

But corner is not an area of need, and this guy is too close to the cut to feel there has been radical recovery in that short a time.

Good luck to Peterson, from what I know of him he's a class act.

But it makes little sense to sign him right now in Dallas, imo, as it would likely be a lengthy rehab process and he would not be able to play if needed.

great post.....thanks

i see what your saying but if we feel like he can stay healthy then it would be worth while to take a chance on him as a replacement for Glenn who probably is in his last year or second to last year. But i agree we are pretty deep at corner.

just where you seem to be deep can get pretty shallow pretty fast in the NFL
