will be announced as our HC Thursday.

Why would the Cowboys decline the Browns to interview Sparano? Obviously Dallas wants to keep him. and if Garrett is our OC, where would that leave Sparano? oline coach, running game coordinator? i doubt the Cowboys would decline the Browns to interview him if all the Boys wanted to do with Sparano was to have him coach the running game and oline.

I think this is pretty easy to figure out. maybe im missing the boat on this, but it seems pretty easy to grasp to me.

HC - Garrett
OC - Sparano
DC - ??? maybe Bowles not sure on DC

Why would we have asked permission to interview Phillips if we were just going to name Garrett the head coach?

Why would we announce that he's hired, but not name his role?

I think the chance that he's the HC is very, very slim.

If Garrett were the HC how much power would Jerry let him have? The T.O. situation, draft, FA etc.

we both have an argument. you answer mine and ill answer yours.

Why would the Boys decline the Browns to interview Sparano, if all he is going to do for us is oline coach/running game coordinator?

i think its clear they want him as OC, which where would that leave garrett? only one space for him

Two reasons: (1) They don't want to give permission until their own coaching situation is settled (as Jerry has specifically stated), and (2) They want to keep Sparano in his current role.

Refusing to allow Sparano to interview with the Browns in no way means he's automatically being elevated to OC.

ok since you gave your reasons ill give you mine on your argument.

I have a feeling that the Boys asked for permission to interview Wade before they interviewed Garrett(which he impressed JJ and BP). Now that they know what Garrett is all about they wont need to interview Wade. There still isnt a interview scheduled yet for Wade if im not mistaken.

Sparano might have been denied permission to talk to the Browns today, meaning they already heard from garrett, and decided that he will be our new HC, and they dont want to lose Sparano, so they declined the Browns

I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

By the way, for what it's worth, PFT reported today that we still plan on interviewing Phillips.
