I have a good feeling about this free agency period, and upcoming draft

I am starting to have a good feeling about this free agency period, and upcoming draft. I honestly believe JJ & SJ are going to admit through actions that they're philosophy is a failed one. I really do believe we are going to sign 2-3 solid FA's and have an excellent draft !!
......maybe
I'll believe it when I see it,

but what I need to see first is how fast is Osa deal gets done, which by the way not sure this deal we're hearing it's a good deal for the Cowboys, but we'll see, and I'll get Parsons done, how much restructuring they do to get money free.

So, I'll believe it if they get this all done in the next couple of weeks where they free up the money get guys here signed and for one I know they're not going after tier one over paying those first week free agents but I do believe they probably are going to do a lot more than they did last year meaning it won't just be kendricks it'll be maybe three guys like him early maybe the tad better than him I know they're not going to do all these bargain basement guys but they're definitely not going Tier 1 and I don't think it's always smart to go after the first week guys because they don't always workout there's a lot of data to support that fact that most of them don't live up to their big deals..

It's not much different than when you sign your own players to huge deals and they already had career years and they almost never live up to the money..
so you kinda have to be careful not making an excuse for the Jones family I'm saying the Tier 2 guys are where it's at you usually get the best bang for your buck we need more guys like kendricks before the draft that way we have a clear path to BPA....

Stephen pretty much already blamed injuries for the bad year last year.

He doesn't think he did anything wrong. It was just that gosh darned bad luck that got us.
First of all that would be a lot of truth to that I mean you trying to tell me that if they had done more even bring in Derek Henry last year and given the same exact scenarios with the injuries that it wouldn't have affected the season? we wouldn't have a bad season 2020 was the last bad season pretty much the same thing too many injuries quarterback out for the year we rebounded the next year 12 wins a playoff spot, division win, dak coming off injury with new deal; 37 touchdowns 10 interceptions.
I mean you trying to tell me that injuries did not affect this last season I mean is that what you're trying to tell me that normal teams can just overcome this you're telling me that the eagles lost Jalen hurts and six starters off that team they would have been in the same spot?!

and that's just being nice, we lost many more starters and our defense was almost completely torn apart ,nd then key players all on the offensive line, I mean you're trying to tell us that you think they've done better in the offseason we had a better season?

you're telling me a few other free agents would have made a difference?

why don't you look at the 49ers they had less injuries but they were also injury riddled, and they didn't do squat... They also had a losing season they have a better GM, better coaching staff, a better training room, they probably feed their players better, according to this place we are the Cleveland Browns, even though we're not, we're not The Jets, the injuries did matter.

Look both ways you look at this from both sides can make a difference,
they need to do a little bit more before the draft than they did last year with free agents they don't need to go all in and go nuts they need to bring in more guys like Kendricks before the draft, better Tier 2 guys then go BPA in the draft,
but yes also the same can be true it doesn't matter what you do you cannot overcome that many injuries they were literally had 18 injuries last year and a bunch of key positions like all three levels first string second string and third string were all hurt and they were using practice squad players to finish the season....
So yes, both things can be true the Cowboys need to do a better job in free agency regardless of what happened with injuries but injuries to that extent it's hard for any team to overcome...

I think anything they do will be to appease the fans (they did mention apathy) rather than any kind of admission or signal of changes in philosophy.

I was starting to feel good about it until I read your post and realized that I may be being fooled again...

Thanks.

I feel the same!!!!! I feel like why would they be able to free up money and NOT do anything with it. The writing is on the wall, they see the fans are mad, they might not get the TOP guy in FA but they can get some tier 2 guys that'll be great!! Show us they're putting effort in adding talent to this team

As for the draft, get the BPA if it's a RB TAKE IT!!!!!!

Good for you!! I am honestly envious, that being said..... Enjoy it while you can
