There is still something to fight for, it is called the #2 seed and division winner.
WIDE RECEIVERS
CeeDee Lamb/Brandin Cooks/Michael Gallup
vs.
Amon St. Brown/Jameson Williams/Josh Reynolds

It’s got to the point where not throwing to CeeDee Lamb on the play makes no sense. Last week against Miami, Lamb started off strong but for some reason he didn’t get targeted for a large portion of the game which made very little sense. Once the team started targeting him again, they found themselves moving back down field and into scoring position. Lamb is second in receiving yards, fourth in receiving touchdowns and second in first downs among wide receivers. When targeting Lamb, Dak has a passer rating of 123.0, that’s the fifth-highest rating among wide receivers. Cooks only caught two receptions last week, but one of them was the touchdown in the fourth quarter that got Dallas the lead.

Amon St. Brown is the key receiving threat for Detroit. He’s having a solid season and is fifth among wide receivers with 1,281 receiving yards. He’s also fifth in receiving touchdowns and more importantly, fifth in yards after the catch. Josh Reynolds has 551 yards and is third on the team in receiving, while Jameson Williams has struggled to make an impact this season. He’s eclipsed 50 yards receiving in a game only twice this year.

Conclusion:
Detroit have a formidable threat with St. Brown and a lot of attention from the Cowboys secondary will go his way. The same can be said with CeeDee Lamb for the Lions defense. One thing going Dallas’ way is the fact the defense is allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game, where Detroit is allowing the tenth-most.
Win: Cowboys

The worm will turn back in our favor beginning Sunday.

We will play our best game of the season vs Detroit, we will rest starters and still destroy Washington to close the season @ 12-5

There is nothing left for the Cowboys to fight for EXCEPT respect. I'd like to think they've seen & heard enough. It's time to play angry.

I think they will and surprise everyone with a nice post-season run.
Yep, that worm certainly knows where it lives.

This makes no sense. We are still in the race for NFC East champion. Eagles could very well lose one of their remaining games.

Plus points for the positivity. We are at home and coming off 2 losses. I dont think this will be a blow out, but do believe we will win this one and the next to finish out strong.

I think after 28 years these two losses have finally gotten us over the hump.

When the last thing in your mind is a bunch of bad losses, it's difficult to turn that corner because you forget what success feels like and how to execute it.
You are right, but in 96 we lost 2 in a row in December and then won the last two and of course went on to win the SB. It helped that we were the number 1 seed.

But normally when we went to the Big Game we always went into the playoffs with a nice string of wins, anywhere from 4 to 6 in a row with maybe only one exception season.

I think like the Eagles and 49ers, the Cowboys are going to lose to Detroit, but they will be locked into the 5th seed. Then I think they will blow out the Commanders the last week, like they did in 2019 after losing to the Eagles and losing out on the playoffs.

I think that because of 27 years of disappointment. The two road losses the last two weeks knocked the new reason for hope out of me and put me back to previous seasons when the Cowboys limped into the playoffs to go 1 and done or 1 and 2 then done.

I think Tyron Smith is the canary in the coal mine for this team. Tyron's back inhaled the toxic fumes of the Cowboys soft culture and passed out when he was needed most. The Cowboys are hedging on whether he will play in Detroit or not - Hankins too. Maybe they are really hurt but I remember last year when the Eagles Lane Johnson suffered a tear in a groin muscle. He suited up in a week because his team needed him. That's old school. That is warrior mentality. On our side, Neville Gallimore hyperextended his elbow, with no structural damage and missed 13 weeks! This is the time of year when everyone capable of walking to the hot tub suits up and plays, or it should be.

The worm does not turn on its own. The Cowboys have to turn it, and it starts with a warrior win at all costs mentality.

If Tyron is out for the playoffs. Our season is over, but half of you will still blame it on Dak.
