I've never been to Dallas nor do i know where the Ranch is in relation to the new stadium. How far is the ranch from the new stadium? Ya think Jerry would ever build a new ranch in Arlington?

that's a great question. I always wondered that as well. Do they give tours of the Ranch as well? I think that would be a blast.

Valley Ranch is the name of a town. It is not a rural area. The Cowboys' complex is located in the community. It is called "the Ranch" like New York is called the "Big Apple." It is adjacent to the City of Irving, as I remember.

YES, MY buddy and his GF went to the Rams game in 05(and he's been to a couple others) and he's been on the ranch tour every time he's gone. He said it was a blast.

Oh, i see, never knew that( i know it's not rural, but i didn't know it was the name of a town). So if Jerry ever moves the complex it would probably have a different name. Maybe just "the ranch"? That's such a cool name considering i come from a ranching fam:)

valley ranch is the name of a town? I thought it was just the street it is located on in irving. I thought valley ranch was just located in north irving, around the los colinas area?

In relation to the new stadium in Arlington its about a 15-20 minute drive, no need to build a new valley ranch.

Also I think all the tours there are done and have been since 9/11. I think the show that people go to is the maxsports radio show with mickey spagnola, a couple players and fans and I think that is located at the team hotel, the marriot.

I am not sure about all this though, I have never been to the valley ranch facility. Driven by that area a bunch of times, but its my understanding since I have lived here in 03 there are no tours available.

yeah, I dont think they've done tours there in years. Last time I was there was in 1994. I remember sitting in Butch Davis' office and watching an Alabama-Auburn game with him and another reporter. The facility reminds me of the movie The Wizard Of Oz. From the outside it has this mystique among fans, but once you've been in there several times you get numbed by the mystique and realize it's just a building. I dont know if he's still there, but I remember seeing former Notre Dame football head Coach Lou Holtz's son working there for a bit.
