I have a question why did Wade not go for it ?

Our offense was struggling for first down the defense was tired and Tashard ran hard and came up a few inches short we where close to mid field and Wade elected to punt. I knew right then we had no chance of winning. The defense needed a big break I wanted Wade to go for it at that point something to spark the team that it needed and give the defense a break. That was imo the turning point of the game I had a gut feeling if Wade punts here we lose and that is what happened.

Sure enough we punted the offense never got into the flow and Greenbay ran more plays and kept the ball away.

Why is it we never see Wade make a tough decision in a tight game when a team needs something. Parcells sis it every so often, Jimmy did as well even Bell dork does it every so often ?

Wade seems to always play not to lose and never really gambles; create their own luck.

3rd and long he drops to cover 2 and rushes how often do we see the big all out blitz.

Sometimes you just have to do things like that to change the momentum of the game.

Just something that bothered me since last night

I would have punted as well trying to pin the Packers deep in their own end. Had they choose to go for it I would not have called it a bad call but one of risk given how poor the line was doing but in my own view I felt if we could pen them back and force a mistake to get right back into the game

The defense was looking tired which is why as soon as it happened I wanted to go for it.

It was just a gut feeling I had.

Thanks for the input

That was a concern I agree. Defense had been on the field quite a bit at that point. I don't think Wade was playing not to lose I think he just felt that if we could put them in a hole and force a mistake by them or get them 3 and out we could get the ball right back in great field position.

The ball was spotted at the Dallas 34,I think punting was the best option.

Tired defense or ineffective offense with an OL that cashed it in during pre-game warmups? I punt it.

The defense had been doing their job all night - no reason not to trust them to do it again.

Well for one it's not his baby, it's Garrett's. And there is no #2 reason...

Wade is the HC he does make that call and has done so before.

Yes, punt the ball.

Had a brainfart,I thought you were saying to that you would go for it and trust the defense to hold if the offense didn't succeed.Sorry about that.

Why?

Because hindsight is always 20/20.

Well, I agree with you.

And I also agree that hindsight is 20-20.
