I Have a Sneaking Suspicion Jabril Cox Gets the Axe

Just my hunch. But I don't think we can afford to occupy a roster spot with a player like Jabril Cox, who I don't think would see the field much this season, especially with players like Jefferson, Harper, maybe even Land breathing down his neck.

What do you think? Do the Cowboys cut bait with Jabril Cox?

Well, in a sense, I supposed the injury increased the odds for all the players competing at the linebacker position for the Cowboys.

I've heard reports on Cox and it's a real mixed bag. I would still consider him more of a situational player. Supposedly, he's got good coverage skills and can cover TE's and RB coming out of the backfield, etc.

So which LB is going to replace Overshown on the roster or will it even be a LB?

So in your opinion Land who plays on the edge gets the nod over Cox who plays inside? And we just had a season ending injury to someone who was gonna play on the inside? You have to have the worst intuitions of anyone I've ever heard of.

He may make the team by default. It depends where they play Land. I seen him listed as a DE and as a LB.
Same for Wheat. And the health of Jefferson, if he is back that is.
But that was back in OTA's.

I have not payed a lot of attention the past few weeks, as I usually do, nor probably not for another week as well.
Hopefully I can get back to it all after this weekend though.

Luckily, Ball is doing better, as cutting said Cox and Ball in the same year would just be a hit in the nads

Since we have a Cox and Ball on the team it only makes sense to retains the services of Hooker.

Losing Overshown was really disappointing but the back 7 has the most depth on the roster.

We are going to cut some talented players.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this happened. The guy was still on the field late in a preseason game. That right there tells you he is still fighting for a roster spot. They could very well go light at LBer and long at safety with guys who can play up in the box. They could also bring in another LBer after cuts and it would be Cox they would be seeking an upgrade for so he would have to go.
