How many of you die-hard fans take an interest in reliving our classic heart-breakers. I often watch them, but have only hosted our successes on my media website.

I have my reasons for watching them, and was wondering if anyone had similar opinions to mine.

If you do.....why? If you don't....why?

Thanks for replying :)

I might want to see them once in a great while, but I'm not interested in seeing them regularly. It was bad enough the first time.

Yesterday was the first time I rewatched the last drive of the Giants playoff loss and if I never see it again, I'll be happy.

Time heals most wounds. As for that one, I may not live long enough. :laugh2:

Depends on which games.

I can't watch The Catch game.

I can't watch the loss to the Steelers in the Super Bowl.

I would like to see the 94-95 NFC Championship loss to the 49ers but only because I can't really remember that game. I erased it off VCR.

I can watch the Cowboys loss to the Giants this past year. I don't know why it doesn't affect me like the other losses. Maybe it's because this is a young team whereas those other games were when the Cowboys either reached the Super Bowl or where near the end of their success, and I wanted to see them win.

I can watch 4 of them. The 3 Super Bowl losses and the 1994 NFC Championship loss to the 49ers where we fell behind by 21 so fast. That's about it. The reason for those is I was extremely proud of those teams. The reason I don't for the others is I simply can't stand to see us lose.

I like watching them if only to see how close we came so many times. It is tough to watch them and relive the disappointment all over again but there was always hope back then that we would be back next year.

One of the things that always impressed me about the Cowboys is that they never gave up. Games like the 1966 & 67 NFL Championship games against the Packers showed that we were just as good as that dynasty but just couldn't get some breaks to go our way. There is no logical way that Starr gets across the goalline but he did. The same was true of the 2 SB losses to the Steelers in the 70s. One bounce, one call, one tackle or catch and we win those games. Our teams were so good!

The loss to the 49ERs in the 1994 NFC Championship game really defined Aikman as the team leader IMO as he fought back from an early 21 point deficit and never gave up. He says that was his best game and I agree. People and teams are often defined more by their defeats than by their victories and that has been true of the Cowboys many times.

For every close loss we had a great win to counter it. With 8 SB appearances and 5 wins we take a backseat to no one! How many times have we been the one to knock out the Vikings, Rams, 49ERs, or Packers, for every loss to them we have had our share of wins as well.

The 49ERs beat us twice, 1981 & 1994 but we beat them in 1970, 71, 72, 92, & 93 so I don't mind watching "The Catch" so much knowing that it was their first win against us in 4 tries. Also, we had a chance AFTER Clark's catch to win in but came up a fingernail short (if only Pearson could have broken free...).

So yeah, if you post them, I will watch them and be grateful for the chance.

I watch the wins first, of course, but in the offseason I'll eventually watch pretty much any and every Cowboys game I can get my hands on.

I recently ordered about 9 previous Cowboys games on dvd and one of them was the 94 Title game.
Like Hostile said, I can watch that game because I was proud of the fact that they fought so hard and gave themselves a chance. It was a somewhat noble defeat.
I had forgotten that Chris Boniol missed a 28 yard chip shot with about 11 minutes left in the 2nd quarter that would have made the score 21-10 Niners. They chased that missed 3 points all day after that.

That 95 Playoffs loss to the Niners is probably my most watched game.

I just love the theatre of that game. The early deficit, Emmitt's tender hammy's, the Deion & Michael matchup, Larry Allen (for Erik) gamely limping on when he had no business playing and of course Aikman.

Such long odds, so much stacked against them, but such an incredibly valiant fight.

That game was such a microcosm of the season. Lots of things working against us and yet we simply wouldn't quit.

I watched the last 5 minutes of that game, and it had me ALMOST as mad as I was watching it live. We had some many things go wrong for us to lose that game man. The grounding call. Crayton stopping on that rout in the end zone on 3rd down. Man, that ball was perfectly thrown, and it would have been a game winning TD. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I enjoyed the 94 Championship game because the Cowboys displayed heroism in the face of almost certain defeat. The 1994 San Francisco 49ers were one of the most prolific offensive teams of all team. Although the Cowboys lost, it's a source of great pride for me as a fan that they were able to fight back as they did, eventually holding their opponent to less than 300 yards total offense.

I'd personally watch them all.No matter how much it hurts, its the heartbreaking losses that made the SuperBowl wins so much more enjoyable. It may sound weird, but thats the way I feel.

I've been trying to find that game for years now. I've never watched a replay of it, but all I can remember is feeling so unbelievably cheated. I've always wanted to see how it unfolded as its so much of a distant memory right now.

If anyone can find this I'd be very appreciative.

The 1 game I refuse to ever watch again is the playoff loss to Seattle.

I recorded the Patriots game from this year and even though we lost I know I will definetely watch it sometime this offseason when im craving some football.

Stargazers website is awesome too.

No....it hurts.

I can't even stand to see highlights from our losses. I can't watch ESPN all week after a loss.

I only watched the 94 Championship one time. I do agree that was one of Aikman's best games.....but I can't watch it.

I live and die with the team. I can't stand to watch a loss.

Well... I suffered through a few of our heartbreakers like many fans... but I gotta say... we have delivered our own fair share of heartbreak to other teams.... Its all good.

3rd NFC title game vs San Fran with the 3 turnovers in 1st qtr... that one really burns me.... but you know what... we had beaten them 2 years straight... so I manage. LOL

But there are some days when I see Steve Young and I just want to put my fist through the back of his head.

He was that close to "No Supe for You"

I use to rewatch loses alot to see what all we were doing wrong, but the longer time goes on the harder it becomes for me to stomach it all. I now have to watch halfs and quarters in a couple sittings ,or so,:( to be able to do it without making me feel miserable.

Did you ever see the movie (or read the book) "The DiVinci Code"? Recall the monk albino who whipped himself with metal topped whips and wore metal spikes or barbed wire around his legs that tightened and drew blood regularly? I'll leave it a that.

Thanks for the response guys. Looks as if your thoughts aren't much different than mine. And my collection reflects that. So I'll host an occasional "Classic Heart-breaker", since I too include the key ones in my collecting.

The 1995 NFC Championship game againt the Green Bay Packers will be available in a few hours. So you might want to get that 1993 Giants game I am currently hosting before I remove it.

Thanks for the response. :)
